Hi all,
I am wondering if I completely missed something or if this is really broken / needs improvement:
I want to play Artificer and want to heal folks. So far I haven't seen a single drop suit which has at least 2 EQ slots so I can equip a Nanite Injector and a Repair Tool. All the drop suits require racial drop suits (Logistics) and for this I need 5 levels in Medium Dropsuits, which will take ages.
Is this really intended to be like that that or is there any fault in my thinking?
Thanks for your help, thoughts, mockery etc.

Intended.
You only get more than 1 EQ Slot in Logi dropsuits.
EDIT: If you have the Skinweave Minmitar Logi suit from back in Closed Beta it has more than one. |

Sadly, that's the way it works with the new skill tree. The only way around it is to drop $99 (assuming you're in US, don't know the price elsewhere) for the Elite Merc Pack, which contains a STD-equivalent Minmatar Logi suit with 3 equipment slots. |

Unfortunately I started later. But didn't they remove all fittings and equipment after the last reset or didn't that apply to Closed Beta equipment?

(assuming previous post meant 1 slot in Basic suits...proper logi suits all have 2 or more, but as you said, you have to skill heavily into medium-frame suits to get to them)
Nope, I won't pay that much money. I'm off the next two weeks, so I activate passive SP and hope that sorts stuff out. But it's really annoying because I can either revive people and hope that somebody has a repair tool, is around and will then fix up the guy I just revived or I can wait there and hope somebody revives the player and I'm not dead...
Since I only play random battles this is pretty unlikely from what I've witnessed so far.
But I will put a request in for at least 2 slots, maybe there's a chance. |

No, rewards gotten from Beta events (Skinweave suits) were not removed or changed. |

That's bad luck then :(
Well let's hope there's some sort of response to the request. |

See my thread on needing more Militia gear: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=76391
One of the issues I have is the fact that there is no Logistic variant suit. I believe we should have militia medium frames logistic variants so the people who wish to immediately pick up the support role for their team can do so without: A) Ploping down money for Aurum in order to buy the Minmatar Militia BPO. B) Spend $99 USD (convert to your local currency as needed) to get a Dren Logistics suit. |

It's not even that there's no Militia Gear, I'm perfectly willing to invest a bit in this. But I would like to have something back, now I'm LVL 4 in Medium Dropsuits and need some 900k+ to get to LVL 5 + at least LVL 1 for any of the Logistic suits. Just to be able to fullfill a proper role in the team. |

It is definitely a flaw in the progression. There should be some way to run a proper logistics fit prior to the race/role skill. A militia Logistics suit would be a proper course IMO since no one but dedicated Logis would probably run it. However, with injectors basically being broken, I would just run a Medium Frame with a Repair Tool and do the best you can to focus on support. Maybe have a few setups to switch into for various situations. It is not Logi replacement. But it is the best the game has to offer at this point. |

Ah have to have a look at this issue, I think I saw something about that.
But apart from this there should be an usable frame also in the lower tiers, better than Militia stuff since I (and I'm sure other players who want to go Logi) have absolutely no problem to invest SP in this. |

Logistics got screwed in uprising. If already having to spec in most of the game's equipment wasn't enough, they had to ***** us on SP to get into a suit with more equipment slots. As of right now, it's faster to get into a prototype HAV than it is to get into a proto logistics suit. |

But how can something like this can slip through during development? This would probably put new players off once to play Logistics, simply because they have to wait ages in order to perform an useful function in the squad / team. |

Planning for stuff to come soonGäó or just flat out bad design, I can't really answer that. But I can say that since most of the vehicle tree is bugged and I had to level into a Minmatar variation of last build's assault VK.0 that I'll never use, I'm going to chalk it up to the the latter. It couldn't have been that hard to make other multiple equipment slot suits, 2 slots at militia level and 3 at basic level wouldn't have hurt anything. If they were so hell bent on the class specific suit being called logistics, then call the basic artificer. Better yet, I don't care what they call me. I just want to be able to use my class without having to pay more than everyone else just because they want to shoehorn me into a role that's still on the ****ing drawing boards. |

The whole point is that you are able to play all roles (Heavy, Sniper, Assault) without having to spend AUR (which I definately not going to do) perfectly fine. For Logistic (Artificer) you will have either invest your real bucks or play ages to get the benefits of racial dropsuits which is not really the way it should be because you're "punished" (don'T have a better word for this at the moment) for wanting to be Logistic. |
