Could you guys at ccp do something to decrease the SP gap between newer players and old players who play everyday even if they are capped out and who buy booters, would it be plausable to raise the active sp gained and the sp cap on players who have less than 5mil sp it would level the playing field a little bit but not so drasticly that it will be noticed within the frist week of the changes??? |

Would it be possible maybe to create a diminishing returns system based on the player with the highest SP? So players could earn SP in proportion to that.
Basically you earn more SP the further away you are from the highest player's total, getting closer to regular SP gain the closer you are to that same total.
Example:
- The player with the highest SP now has 25 million SP. - A brand new player with 500k SP will earn between 20k and 25k SP per match. - SP gain would slow down gradually based on some (probably ridiculously) complicated equation. |

this is exactly what im talkin about, it will make it easier for new people to stick with and compete in this game instead of getting smashed on buy players who could possibly one day be years older than you |

If this happens then everyone who has paid for boosters needs a refund. I don't think CCP will be implementing that. |

This is going to be a huge problem years down the line, in fact scratch that, it already IS a huge problem. There are guys out there with more than 15 million SP and the problem with that is: new players only start with 500k. I started new alt today and just managed to get a few skills to level one.
I have used boosters and I wouldn't be asking for a refund. I'd rather people were on a slightly more level playing field, with different advantages and disadvantages arising from things other than their SP. |

I think the playing field is fairly level. We could discuss the merit of everyone being equal or we could just go an shoot each other to find out but I think if you play the game the way it's meant to be played (adapt and change) then you will find that SP doesn't make the player...he/she does. A noob with 500,000 sp can kill me just as easily as a 12 mil sp character. It is a matter of circumstance and co-operation with team mates, not just a better gun or suit. If you play with and get to know your team mates you will get better and learn to support them in the way they need support so that together you level your playing field. The active SP you gain while doing this will support my statement. If we were all equal we would be playing COD not Dust. |

Even a 12mill SP character using ONLY militia fits has a HUGE advantage. +25% armour, +25% shield, +25% to armour repair hp/s, the list goes on.
All of these are huge advantages and also in the hands of someone who has played enough to earn that 12 million SP it's entirely more effective. Yes, teamwork can help to lighten the load but you'll never beat a well organised squad of vets in proto gear with your well organised group of newbies. |

My suggestion is that there should be a system that takes into account your Lifetime sp. For example the system keeps a running number on the maximum SP a person can have without boosters since the start of open beta, both passive and active. Prior to hitting that cap you should be able to gain unlimited SP, once you hit the maximum SP the current system will kick in.
This will give people who are starting and have a lot of time at least the opportunity to catch up with those that have been playing longer. As it stands there is no way to catch up. |

I thought the Academy matches were supposed to separate vulnerable new players from the veterans.
Is this not working? |

This idea has no merit. The academy solves most of the OP's concerns better. |

its WP based so players like me who have alts that just rack up passive sp can still get into the acad(not sure what the wp limit is for the acad) i think they need to adjust that and make it wp and sp based |
