Cureently faction warefare is taking alot of heat for some reason so i thought i would take the time to write up exactly what its purpose is and why its awesome.
Faction Warefare is currently built like scrim except for a few small but very very important details.
-you can chose a side, this means you can chose to attack or defend meaning you can determin on which side of the map you will start on.
-you can stack an entire team with your own players
- you can recieve EVE support
what this means is that FW currently acts as a sort of PC training grounds/practice match.
with the land grab of PC over and alot of corps left without any territory this is going to be the GO-TO group playground where corps practice there team OPS and get good at working not only as a squad but as an entire coordinated team.
so far the haters on FW seem to be either joining the game solo, or with only a single squad and are not enjoying FW because of that. Faction warfare is not for solo play, its not even for squad play, its for multiple coordinated squads going into the same match. If your a solo player or a single squad headed out into FW then your going to have a bad time.
In a day long experiment yesterday alone my corp joined up as 2 full squads on the same team in FW just to see how many times we would find others doing the same and while it diddnt happen oftin occasionally we would come across other corps doing the same thing, resulting in battles more epic than what the old corp battles provided.
Faction warfare is for queuing up multiple squads on the same team and facing other people doing the same. if your not doing that then your going to have a hard time and not enjoy it. |

Completely agree. Great place to get 2 full squads of the corp together to practice overall tactics since Corp Battles have been removed and we simply cant battle our own corp for this practice.

We could already Q sync in normal matches. FW doesn't feel any different to me than normal matches.
I'm getting disappointed with CCP. |

I would definietly agree. You are right. However my only thing is that I was experimenting with my tiny corp yesterday and 3 of us made our way into FW and had significant effect in a couple games until we ran into a full team of Synergy.
Well, they beat us fairly well by like 30-40 clones, but I still made 300k ish isk coming in 3rd on the leaderboard because I think they were overconfident and felt comfortable bringing lots of advanced gear.
So even for small time players, you may not come away with crazy stats from FW, but I think the money is getting better as people will raise the stakes. |

You had like a 20% chance of syncing in intant battles before unless you had like 10 squads syncing at once. That's not the norm for most corps. |

That's mainly because there are not that many Eve players orbiting planets in low sec at the comment and so far the system is relatively new for noobs who are trying it out.
But still, once you learn to coordinate with Eve players, you can call in for more powerful orbital strikes and you can now see them overhead as brackets in the sky.
As for qsyncing, its a lot easier to qsync because you can choose sides and you have a higher likelihood of stacking successfully if you have a player dedicated to keeping a close eye on the mercenary tab. |
