When all the variations of an item have the exact same stats, at a particular meta-level?
Take as an obvious example, the Guristas Saga, Blood Raider Saga, and the Ishukone Saga. They're the same in every single way except for the names. They probably even look the same. It's all so very pointless.
Why not give them different bonuses or stats? Some may have more PG and CPU but lower shields/armor etc etc. Then there would be a reason to have three different types. And the same goes for a dozen or more items in the game. |

They do have a method to their madness. The reason they keep them the same stat-wise is because they do not want this game to be P2W. Every AUR item you can buy, has an exact same ISK variation. Often times though, the AUR item requires less skills to be trained to use, and have a different coloration. I have not bought any of the new vehicles though, so am not 100% sure. |

I can absolutely understand the avoidance of P2W, but just using the example of the three LAV's in the OP, they're all AUR items with the exact same stats!
The Guristas have a different design philosophy to the Blood Raiders who have a different design philosophy to Ishukone. This should be reflected in small but meaningful differences between the three vehicles. |
