My game looks very close to those images. Granted, I play on a 40" LCD TV and sit about 2m away...Sometimes I play on the 50" TV downstairs and sit even closer...
Try a new TV. |

I use a top of the line 144hz 3d PC monitor at 1920x1080, trust me ive played pc games and console games for 14 years, it snot the TV making your shadows, textures, blur and render quality better, that's the PS3. |

No. But it's the TV showing it to you, fiddling with brightness, colours and blurriness in some cases.
The only difference I see between those screenshots and the actual game are loading delays for textures sometimes. Much less in Uprising. |

HDMI and a good samsung LED...
Bear in mind those are Stills. So it captures a lot more details that would otherwise be in motion, and you'd be less likely to notice. |

Dust doesn't support 1920x1080. Maybe his TV is better at upscalling than your PC monitor. |

Looks pretty much exactly like this to me. Get a better TV, and HDMI cable, make sure your PS3's settings are on the correct resolution. |

Those screenshots are a quarter the size of what you see when playing the game. If you don't understand that an image, any image, will tighten up when you shrink it down then I don't know what to tell you...
Also, after having played video games for as long as you have, if you haven't realized that screenshots will often give you a much better impression of a game than actual game play... well, welcome to the world. |

"crispness" or sharpness is defo as much a product of your TV or Monitor as the ps3.

I have to agree with him. Also, see the same quality. Of course I don't use a computer monitor to play DUST. |

Ahhh.... You mean if I stand still and look at things long enough for all the textures to render, this is what it looks like? Crazy... Doesn't actually look so bad. Shame it won't render while on the move... technical limits and what not. |

The game is not a1080 so its streatched to an HD tv 1080 ress from 720 on dust, so it looks upscalled and blurred
The game has no AA so has jaggies therefore the game doe snot look smooth
The game has had the render quality from the screenshots reduced to maybe 65% of the screenshot
The textures, ground quality, distant buildings, vehicles, air vehicles, explosions all look better by far in the screenshots then they do in game, they obviously took these screenshots with max gfx rendered engine stills, and then downgraded the quality so the ps3 can run it.
This is how it would look on PC, these are on par with PS2, but in game its far different, and no it snot my monitor or tv lol... ive tried it on 2 hd tvs and my gaming monitor, its not my monitor. |

Well actually 99% of PC games dont, pc screenshots are screenshots taken from the game, take wow, neverwinter, rift, swtor etc. the game looks as good as the shots. consoles just need need to make the marketing looks good i think. |

You are aware all games ever made look better in screenshot form? It's called "bullshots". Common term in the industry.
No AA? If there were no AA it would be far, far worse than you are saying.

Anyways, it runs 720p 60hz for dust. But my TV makes the game like playing 60 frame per second.
I like how the lighting on the game especially when the clouds makes shadows. |
