Hey there,
My situation is this: I am situated in Germany and my brother - an active EVE player sent me one of these invitation links which grant me access to the game (well, it released now anyways) and some bonus items and upgrades. I registered and created my character online, but when I click on "Get the game" I am either redirected to an error page of the Dust514 website ("Something went wrong - Could not facilitate your request at the moment.") or get through to the Sony Entertainment Network store, which tells me that the requested website is not available (well, in German - but the problem stays the same).
Any way to fix this? Might it have anything to do with me being in Germany? Others here seem to be able to play the game. On my PS3 I'd have to pay 0,99Gé¼ to download the game from the Playstation Store for some reason.
I hope this can be resolved.
Regards, Schnargl aka. that Character's Name.
EDIT: Hope that I put this in the right subforum... If not, I apologize. |

I am sorry for the doublepost, but here is their response, which made me slightly infuriated:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting us for support.
DUST 514 can only be played on PS3 and not PC. You can, however, create your account on our website. Due to law regulations in Germany, players are required to pay 0,99Gé¼ to download the game and for this money they get some AURUM (in-game currency) which can be spent on gear. This required to confirm legal age and only applies to Germany.
Please accept our apologies if this has caused any inconveniences and feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.
Regards, GM Muza CCP Customer Support | EVE Online | DUST 514
So... German customers have to PAY to play a free game? Seriously? Are you kidding me?
I'll try what KatanaPT posted. |
