I decided to organize and describe the large turrents for tanks, in order to help new tankers decide what's best for them and for old ones to try out others, especially since some of the advantages of some turrents are hidden, and hard to use.-á
1. Blasters Blasters are short range, high power, high fire rate weapons. Advantages: They have the highest rate of fire over other turrents. They are very powerful and especially effective against infantry, but can be used for anti-vehicle, mainly LAVs and dropships. Blasters do not use much CPU. They have the fastest tracking speed and weigh the least.-á Blasters are very accurate. Disadvantages: They are short range, also -ámaking it hard to engage in combat with railgun tanks. -áThey use a lot of PG.-á They overheat quickly.-á The marauder skill increases blaster damage when equipped on the Surya.
2. Railguns Railguns are extremely powerful and long range weapons that launch projectiles at hypersonic speeds. Advantages: They have superb accuracy and are very long ranged.-á They are very powerful. Railguns are very effective against vehicles and installations of any kind. The projectiles are shot at hypersonic speeds, -áso you need not lead your target very much.-á They don't use much PG. Disadvantages: They can overheat. They must charge up before every shot. Railguns have the slowest tracking speed and weigh the most. They use a lot of CPU. Railguns are not very effective against infantry.
3. Missiles Missiles are medium range and medium power weapons that launch volleys of missiles. Advantages: They are medium range, helpful against blaster tanks. Missiles do not overheat. Missiles are burst fire, one press of the button and you will shoot multiple missiles at once, So if you find cover you can pop out and shoot, hide, pop out and shoot, and take minimal damage. BIGGEST ADVANTAGE!!!- Missiles do huge bonus damage against armor, 31%, -áthey destroy installations quickly and are "the bane of armor tanks."-á They cause explosions making them effective against infantry. Fear factor- most people have not seen missile tanks, they don't know what to expect, they freak out; not many games have this kind of weapon. They are light and do not use much CPU or PG, and have a moderate tracking speed. Disadvantages: Missiles are medium range so it is dangerous to fight a railgun tank. Explosion damage and size-á BIGGEST DISADVANTAGE!!!-Damage is hugely reduced against shields so attacking shield tanks with another turret and vehicles are dangerous. Missiles are a bit slow, making it hard to hit LAVs and dropships. Missiles are not superbly accurate, hard to hit objects far and above. The marauder skill increases missile damage when equipped on the sagaris.
Also, missiles use their own skillbook, while Railguns and Blasters share the same skillbook.
