I think dust will get a 3/10 from IGN in its current state, I dont think it will be lower but I dont see it much higher either. I think overall the game will be panned by critics.
What do you guys think? |

What reviews?
CCP has been mostly under the rug company most major gaming websites pay it no attention. I mean hell we have this big ol fan fest and absolutely no coverage on any websites I normally visit, except oh wait world of darkness. |

...Except for the fact that IGN has done 2 stories involving Dust 514 today, and have stated they are currently making the review. |

i say for dust either a 6/10 or 7/10 is they r genorous. but IMO i think it deserves a 8/10 or 9/10. I find it very fun unlike the forum that are full of haters. |

Its gonna get hammered. No way its getting a positive review, its simply not ready for prime time.
This ugly duckling needs a couple more years before its ready for the ball.
Everything we have seen from the haphazard catchup balancing to the amount of corners they have had to cut to jam this bloated monstrosity of loose code onto the ps3 indicates that.
CCP had almost 12 months to get this build right and the help of sony QA and this is the best they could do? They are massively undermanned at 70 developers trying to build a AAA game on the fly while integrate it with another game. They need more money from CCP and they need to hire way more people who are experienced FPS devs.
CCP shanghai is drowning under the workload.
Pity F is all this girl is gonna get at this point. |

I think it depends on how much credit they give it for having actual meaningful persistence, ie PC, because that's something very few other FPS games can say. I'm not sure how much time (if any) most reviewers will have with PC, so the game's greatest strength may be ignored or marginalized. |

To be honest, all major reviewers are likely to review it once then never review it again. They've done the same thing with EVE, which has evolved a lot since 2009, which is the last expansion metacritic has a metascore for.
On current basis, I would expect a 7/10, with reviewers looking at the skill system, variety of weapons and vehicles, as well as current metagame, but docking marks for controls and possibly balance, if they're being harsh.
But after this set of reviews... I can't imagine that reviewers will come back to the game, despite knowing that there will be frequent free expansions with major content updates, changing basically the whole face of the game. |

Any review given will mean little to nothing, because in a year, this game will be totally different. EVE climbed the ladder slowly and surely, and I will go as far to say that Dust will do the same. I would bet money that during the first year EVE was up, numerous people preached the game's downfall just as many are doing today with Dust. Those people leave, and the ones that enjoy the game and want to support stay. |

Yeah, but it took eve years to get to where its at. and even then among mmo players that I mention eve, they snicker. or I get the "Its boring". It's numbers been climbing but the reviews and numbers don't match other MMO's or FPS.
Cod has thousands of players. and that game is a huge pile of.. whats the word? *POO*

Cant trust the EVE numbers, think about how many of those accounts are likely alts due to the heavy RP and metagame focus
Besides as a game EVE is boring as hell, its all the player created stuff thats interesting |
