The railgun and blaster turrets in the new maps are really really stupid. The AI is god damn super human in aim. You can not fly or drive any where near them without getting bulls eyed.
We have tanks, drop ships and ground troops. We do not need ground turrets of any kind, and AI manned ones are just way OP. they dominate the map making vehicle play impossible.
get rid of them. They detract not add to gameplay. |

I think that with the game getting to full release we have players for each class. AV, tank, air support, infantry. Each role on the battle field is represented by real players. The ground turrets are a kick in the teeth for one class of player. The vehicle. It's time to get rid of them.
This is PVP, not PVE. I do not want to fight a super human redline killing machine with the aim of a god. We do not need turrets in any map. Please just remove them all. How can I counter a dead eye aiming turret that hits like a truck and is behind the red line?
The new maps are a joke for turret domination. There Re so many, they have the height advantage, they have perfect aim... They ruin the game. They have to go. All of them. Now. |

Who needs players? Then I can just fly around and kill stuff. |

spec into forge guns and explosives. kill the turret then you wont have to worry about them shooting at you. but how can you get a shot on them without it killing you first? go around the other side of the map. spec into something specifically for killing turrets or the guys manning them. if you havent tried to use the in-game mechanics to counter it, then i dont see how you can complain. if they are so OP and keep getting kills. more mercs will be running around with a suit that can do damage to turrets at the beginning of the battle. adapt to them. turrets are supposed to be tough. they are defensive or long range defense/offense installations. they are supposed to be a hurdle that requires teamwork and strategy to counter |

Yep, just spec deeply into a completely different playstyle and spend half the match running around and killing all the turrets before you call in your vehicle. Hopefully you won't die too many times in the process between enemy forces and the turrets themselves and have enough time left to get a few minutes in your vehicle. |

They are in the red line. Up a hill. I have. Dropship. I can not get close. There are several in the same spot and they murder you in 2 hits. They dominate that map. It' s a broken and not needed mechanic. We have av players to counter tanks and drop ships. We do not need AI super men smashing the whole map from red line safety.
I have to fight swarms, OP forge guns and av grenades on my way to the installations. Then I have to fight them... It's a BS battle and it spoils a PVP game. They go. No. No pause. Done. |

El oh el. I think you got it wrong. Taking out the A.I. would detract from gameplay, as having the A.I. add another element to watch out for.
What they should do is reduce their hit chance percentage. They are too accurate. Just earlier I was killed by a blaster that wasn't even aiming directly at me. I was livid. |

If you think AI large turrets are a game enhancing element, let's take that further...
Let's put in hardened sentry turrets to kill infantry. Sprinkle them around the map and put a couple up in hard to reach areas up on walls an in corners inside buildings.
Then we can all enjoy this wonderful gaming element! |

dust eve, I do understand your point. But I think the game has people and weapons that can fight the good fight on the main battlefield. The red line turrets are there to slow and counter being red lined. But they do too much. They shoot across the whole map with super accuracy. They do more that their design, they do not protect, they attack.
I run a 8 million sp drop ship with a friend running a 8 million sp tank. That new map OWNs us hard. We can not move for AI turret fire. It's too much.

Hahaha I know just what you're talking about, can't hit E without entering a freaking turret :D
But keep to your half of the map and you're fine unless a player gets in there, or an even smarter one hacks turrets inside of your redline. I hung back and made good money nailing dropships on that map hours and hours ago.. did you run into DAYTONAAAA? |

i dont have a problem with turrets. they equal a free kill to me. and i use advanced assault suits and dropships. rarely have i been killed by a turret in a dropship. and i am using militia dropships too. i just fit it to counter them |

I mean not to pass negative comment on your character but I believe you not. I have spoken to many long term DS pilots. I have yet to find one that agrees with you. |

get a militia forge gun and eat away at the turrets. when they die. get in your DS... i like dodging turrets or landing my own DS behind them a ways and killing the operator then getting back in the DS and flying away |

No.., No!.. CCP do not change the turrets AI functionality unless you're giving them an upgrade. We do not need to downgrade Turrets that are doing what they were meant to do, just because some irresponsible driver decided to go within sight of one & get half his squad annihilated. You know there's Turrets on each map, maybe you should just find a route around them instead of charging in like a Russian in WW1..

Not past just within the same map as. You seem to be slightly disabled, so I don' t want to say bad things to you. It would be unfair. You are special, just like mum said. |
