Never ever was talked about as being in the build. It sounds like it isn't even neaby on the roadmap. Either that or they are just going to suprise drop it in.
IMO its crucial for letting battles escalate in item cost for FW or PC. |

You know, I wouldn't be suprised if they are trying to get it linked with CREST so that we could somehow advertise what we have with an API. Managing the buying and selling through a secondary interface outside of the PS3 would be so much nicer than inside.
I wouldn't be suprised if the Vita Neocom App will be the key link in that process. I''m thinking that Vita will be running off of CREST and I'm pretty sure it was talked about as coming out this year. So the capability is likely going to be around pretty soon. |

The topic of the Open Market in Dust 514 has been brought up before in many threads, even one by me. The CCP crew have said it isn't going to be in Uprising (see the post above), and more than that they have stated that it isn't even "on the table" now in terms of when, or IF, it will show.
I say that is a slap in the face to players, but that is just my opinion. Much more important to get another "human Endurace" "event" in the pipeline, don't you think?
When it comes to this company, the promises they make for releases are NEVER on time. If they are saying they don't even have a timetable for something, or are not making claims that "it's coming", you are in for a LONG wait. |

See to me, it seems like they've had a peculiar kind of silence on the subject. Its almost like there might be a third party keeping them quiet on the development or something. Probably just wishful thinking, but I still don't get why they think giving us salvage matters, when, if we will be waiting at least 6+months for a p2p system, all the stuff we are getting now will be useless until then...
The only thing I can think of is that they have some sort of 'reserve market' that they are shooting for of built up goods. They could tune the loot tables so that at the time where some sort of player manufacturing of equipment comes out there would be enough supply already sitting in our assets to pad the production line and fulfill initial demand for like a month or so while things got organized. This is the only reason I see them being okay with us having so much 'dead product' sitting in our inventories. |
