is the most unforgiving gun I have ever used in any game ever, I really hope the fully automatic one isn't as big as a POS as the semi automatic one is. I was looking forward to this gun all month long and I am disappointed. Glad there wasn't a respec because I would of regretted speccing into this garbage.
It is a powerful but it does not farewell in normal combat because of how easy it is to overheat and the long cooldown, it does what the TAC-AR was meant to do, aside from that it just cannot be taken into the front lines.
I HAVE NOT TRIED THE FULLY AUTOMATIC ONE. |

It is a powerful gun but it does not farewell in normal combat because of how easy it is to overheat and the long cooldown, in a fire fight you will probably get destroyed unless you have godly accuracy. It does what the TAC-AR was meant to do, aside from that it just cannot be taken into the front lines.
I HAVE NOT TRIED THE FULLY AUTOMATIC ONE. Lol that overheating is the only thing keeping it in check. |

I dont know I feel like I cant get a single shot before it overheats, going to give it a try after I unlock the automatic one. |

Scrambler rifle sounds like a nice novelty weapon to try out, but people still gonna run back to the EZ Mode Tact AR. |

I too was a bit disappointed with the semi-auto Scrambler Rifle. The sight is sweet and the charged shot is beastly, but it seemed to overheat constantly. Despite this I used an alt to skill into the "assault" version and it seems much better. It hit hard and I didn't overheat once with the assault / fully automatic variant. The 72 round clip is nice too. I must note that as I was using a brand new alt, therefore I was only able to test it in the "Academy" mode against other low-level guys. I'm going to skill into it on my main and give it a proper go against protomonsters. |

You can actually shoot much faster with the semi-automatic if you re skilled with pushing the button correctly, not fast as you can but there s a trick.. Then the fully auto one is overheating slowly but I found the semi-auto much more effective. Of course you need to watch for the heat buildup and I think its not a big problem. |

Yes this is true, but after about ten shots the gun overheats. |

Just remember, Scrambler is technically a laser weapon, soooo shielding is weak to its attacks meaning....Caldari dropsuit runners better watch their asses, myself included. |

Well assuming the weapon always overheats at 10 shots then thats an extra 3 shots with lvl 5 Amarr suit bonus.

The regular is VERY situational, definitely not a rush into a huge mess weapon. It's more anti-sniper/anti-TAC AR weapon. Wasted a silly TAC AR user with one of these, can't perch in high places and rain hell on us anymore. |

I know what you mean, though its not 10 shots really, if you do 1 charged and then few normal strikes its overheated immediatelly ofc. But you need to shoot in rows per 3 shots for example but do it fast, you can do even more but have a little breaks between those.. you just need to find out how to use it right. |

Just a heads up, ran some small tests this morning on the standard scrambler: Bonus to Shields:20% Bonus to Armor: -20% *guessing here, didnt actually notice on a zero shield opponent, hard to find one and track them down without killing them! Headshot Bonus: 50% Optimal Range:44M
I plan on doing a full range compariosn of various guns tonight to see how the scrambler stacks up and whether higher meta levels impact range. Basically I want to know if the TAR outranges it.
The overheating issue will just require practice and learning what kind of firepower you can put out before resting it. The cooldown is quick, so even at 10 shots per overheat, as long as you dont actually overheat it, its less time than a reload. |

if the SR has 44m only then TAR outranges it by alot, no need for further testing. |

Are we sure about that? 44 is optimal, before damage started dropping off, not max. Also this was the standard, the advanced (which would be more on par with the TAR) might be longer.
It FELT like it had similar ranges. I've never actually looked at the optimal/max ranges for the guns before. Itll be nice to put together a spreadsheet so folks will actually know.
The way I am testing is I am finding an enemy installation, then walking away until my damage % decreases, that marks the optimal, then when it hits 0% that marks max. |
