Not sure if this has been raised before (would be very surprised if not) so at great personal risk of flaming or being told there is a search function
Are there any plans to be able go through tactics and set waypoints etc. I mean, walking around and greifing people by following them or mobbing them, or looking at the player list to see if we are going to be stomped is fun and all (for a while) but the time could be better spent. We do have the big map table after all. Also being able to do squad orders would be part of the same thing ( cant remember if you can do seperate waypoints and squad orders off the top of my head- but if not why not?) .
I find we generally waste the first minute or two of a game trying to figure out what map we are on and coming up with a general strategy.
Added on from this it would be nice to have multiple objectives with waypoints, maybe just primary and secondary.
This could be to defend a certain person while attacking a certain objective or to split the squad to defend one objective and to attack another |

If you bring up the squad orders in the warbarge theirs a bug and you cant close it or set a order at the moment and your stuck in that direction. Its been like that since uprising release.
I would like to see them fix that 1st |

Now that it takes on average 4 minutes to get into merc battles and FW, this needs to happen in some degree. I imagine squads being able to pull up the map and the squad leader can manipulate it and map out checkpoints and routes that show up on the field via tacnet when the battle begins. If you want to take this a step further, squad leaders can elect one team leader who can be in charge of planning for the battle and color coding checkpoints to each squad. If Dust 514 is supposed to be the successor to MAG, we need stuff like this instead of a radial wheel that's only used to put a defend order on squad mates just so we can farm WP. |
