In Eve, you can either use shield tanks, or armor tanks. And if you're feeling insane you can use structure tanks.

In Dust, the best option is the shield tank, hands down. Everyone uses an assault rifle, which is best against armor. I'm in a Gallente dropsuit, so I constantly have my ass handed to me again and again.

With shields you get no movement penatly, and this is key when you're fighting with someone. You strafe around people's crosshairs so they don't get as many shots off on you. You can see why this makes sense because the first people to die are always the scrubs who stand still and shoot. You also get great bonuses to damage as noone has a weapon that's effective against shields.

With armor tanking you don't get to move around as much, so you're almost like a heavy. You don't move around as quickly and people you're shooting at can. Most people have assault rifles which have a bonus to armor damage, and since everyone has that gun it's suicide to be using an armor tanking suit.

Now, since I'm specced into assault rifles, and I'm out of skillpoints, what am I supposed to do when the scrambler rifles come out? I won't be able to spec into the other dropsuits either, or be able to use shield modules in Dust.

So I ask the Developers, what do I do?
