Faking orbital strikes on Faction Warfare battles is plain stupid. It removes any intensitive for pilots to interact with dusties, as you can get orbital strikes regardless of the situation in space. In other words: the pilot puts herself into danger for nothing. This is especially annoying when you have friendly pilot covering the OB beacon and still your *enemy* gets to call orbital strikes. If you have to fake something, at least disable the faking when the beacon is camped.
With the faking the interaction between the two games is at the current stage only a joke. |

Can't do anything but agree with Rus. CCP has promoted this One War concept so much that it would be a shame if it ended up being a half assed Almost One War.

I just had my corp mate put his ass-ets on the line for me. He had no-one on grid and yet the enemy was able to drop two orbitals, we got all of... none.
If the squids can't be bothered to show up and get lit up their infantry shouldn't get any help. |

as i understand it, if there are no ships in orbit you get the "precision strike" from the MCC. if you have ships in orbit you can get bigger and better orbital bombardments based on the weaponry that the ship(s) in orbit have. |

Yes. But the faked strike, showing as "Precision Strike" instead of "Tactical -something- S", still kills all infantry in the area it hits. And there is no way to prevent the enemy from using them. |

Removal of the bombardment from FW matches unless there is a pilot in space would add to the immersion factor. Would also get more battles over districts in space. |

Yes. I want orbital strikes come from players, or not at all. This would encourage interaction between EVE and DUST. In the current model there are no real reasons for EVE pilot to risk her ship to do OB, as NPCs will do it anyway. And there is no way to *prevent* the opponent from getting OB. |

Any attack from space should be saved for the controlling faction... Give other tactical options from the MCC for the non-controling team.

I do agree on some points, I do think the Constant use of warbarge bombardments gets really annoying, especially if the other team is stacked with corp/alliance members.
however it does require a 2500 WP score to call in one strike, they should keep this point requirement idea as it does limit its use.
Possibly make the use of EVE Bombardments a lesser point requirement possibly? 1500 WP ? or not at all maybe just have a timer on how long it can be used?
But still all good and valid points (y) |
