To deal with a problem, you first have to turn it into math. So, give your tank's stats, and tell us why it's UP/OP/fine. Final thoughts (what little I have) will be at the bottom.

Someone rather aptly described armor tanks as a brick that's meant to sit next to a problem and solve it. In Chromosome build, at least.

Here's what I run with on Caesar Gallenteas, my Madrugar fit:

 Low:
 180mm Reinforced Nanofibre Plates
 Carapace Armor Hardener
 Carapace Armor Hardener
 Carapace Armor Hardener
 Heavy IG-L Polarized Armor Regenerator

 High:
 F45 Peripheral Damage Control Unit

 Turrets:
 80GJ Compressed Railgun
 20GJ Compressed Railgun
 20GJ Compressed Railgun

Now, here are my (relevant) skills:
Vehicle Armor Upgrades III (1.15% Armor)
 Vehicle Core Upgrades V (1.05% PG/CPU)
 Vehicle Electronics II (1.1% CPU)
 Armor Adaptation V
 Vehicle Armor Plating II

This pushes me into the 5400 or so armor range.

Having activated these modules one step at a time gives me this much EHP:

 Hardener 1: 6750 (duration 60 / cooldown 15s)
 Hardener 2: 8100 (duration 60 / cooldown 15s)
 Hardener 3: 9450 (duration 60 / cooldown 15s)
 DC Unit: 9990 (duration 30 / cooldown 30s)

Of course the repper adds a lot of survivability on top of that. According to the description, it should heal 342 health per pulse and only have 5 pulses, but it feels like a lot more than that.

I used to be able to fit a blaster turret onto this, but I can't anymore, because it gobbles up the PG that I don't have. And when I say "a blaster turret," I mean literally, any blaster turret at all. Even the small blaster turrets take up too much PG. I'd like to list the exact PG that's currently left, but I can safely say that it's only in the few dozens. Not enough.

Sounds like a trap. no thanks. My tank has already be accused of being OP by a tanker in Zion. i need to continue my reign of destruction and terror.

Better suggestion, instead of talking to each other talk to infantry, you dont see one lone tank steaming ahead of everyone else on a real battlefield do you, its a good way to get blown up
Also stop to pick up a passenger or two to man those extra guns and jump out to handle anyone thats gets close and inside your turrets turn radius

Two simple suggestions that will greatly increase a tanks survivability and usefulness

That's basically what I used to run but with the Efficient (best) Repairer. I really miss Combat Engineering...

But seriously, no. I want math, not "damn it, we need more PG!"

Infantry suggestion, yes. I try to make sure I have someone I trust in Caesar when he's on the field. Those two extra turrets, though? Rails are completely useless against all enemies except the ones that are standing still.

The last few times I've encountered tanks, they've either been like shooting through paper or trying to take down a brick wall with a plastic knife when using anti-vehicle weapons or even large turrets that spawn in the field.

You guys do need to communicate, because aside from some glaring flaws like the tank turret not being able to go up very far, they are far from being as underpowered and useless as some here make them about to be..

Sounds like you need some passengers with better aim, I manage to hit people with the smaller railguns whenever I hitch a ride

I'm not a spy. I'm an annoying liberal who cries for freedom of information when everyone who has a stake in the matter just sits there and glares at me.
