I recall reading a dev post not long ago regarding the end game stats, that more were being applied (now done with uprising) and that you would like feedback on them as to what we would like to see. So, I'm taking you up on it during the downtime.
First, great job with the updates on them.. The stat page went in a direction that I wasn't expecting but it really works. I especially like the timeline and am constantly surprised to see how much damage i inflicted compared to my sufferings.
Kill assists on the main page When someone goes 25-3 and earns top spot in the ranking... you immediately know what role they were playing. But when someone gets second and went 0-10, you start wondering.. logi? Tank gunner? Someone steal all his damn kills? I would love to see two additional columns to easily clear things up. Kill Assists and Revivals.
The Timeline It's pretty sweet as is, and one of the unexpected surprises in direction of the stats. Recently I went ... 15- something with a huge gap of no kills or deaths in the middle. "What the hell was I doing? Running around in circles?" I asked a squad mate. "That's probably where you got all your assists." he replied... Smart thinking. Perhaps you could add that to the timeline. To avoid cluttering it up with more circles go with vertical lines maybe. Up for revivals, down for assists. Would make an interesting timeline.
Who killed me, and who did I kill? The feed is fast, sometimes I miss it. Is the new map procedure making me miss it sometimes? Anyway. A kill death assist revival list page (basically a review of the feed) to compliment the timeline would be a wonderful overload in information, and add to the "meta" game. "That S.O.B" killed me seven times! AND two assists." It's a great way to make enemies and rivals. Or better, know who to send squad invites to.
Full Disclosure Allow me to click on someone's name and see the same info page as mine and the awesomeness will be complete. We play for "Wow!" moments. "Dude had 36 assists!" Is all the better if I can click on the name and pour over his stats. Other people's stats are just as interesting as my own and more of that "meta" stuff people are always on about. 20 assists and I didn't see him on the field,,, hmmm? Oh, weapon of choice.. small blaster turret.. he was in that tank, gotcha."
A save to file option Though I'm willing to let a game be lost in memory and move on to the next one, I think there are quite a few people out there that would like this option. I've seen enough photos of end game stats to assume some couldn't find their phone in time to snap one.
I realize that this might be backburner, sticky note on the wall type stuff as it's a busy time at CCP, but I wanted to get it out there none-the-less. That's all for now. |

These are all good suggestions, but still too focused on kills/deaths which, to be honest, isn't that big of a deal in Dust.
We should have ISK destroyed vs ISK lost front and center.
Also, I know the Devs have commented that we aren't getting killmails in Dust, but how about the stats summary page being added as a killmail substitute. Then we could review our battles somewhat. |

Kills and deaths are first and foremost in any shooter, like it or not., but yeah... ISK stuff, good idea, thanks for the feedback. Hack data? |
