After a nearly a year of Beta, both closed and open, Dust 514's day of destiny has nearly arrived.
This has been a beta like no other I've been involved in. The level of commitment of this great community coupled with the way that CCP has engaged with that community, has resulted in a game that I feel will stand out in the gaming world as one of the true greats.
Is like to thank all the members of DUST University, past, present and future for giving up your time to help others. I'd like to thank our opponents on the field of battle for giving me some of the most gratifying and frustrating moments of gaming since my Grandad first got me to type in a programme on his zx80, over 30 years ago.
But most of all, I'd like to thank everyone at CCP for being crazy enough to think they could pull this off at all.

For a FPS this game is fun, we have our problems but I feel the community and CCP can work together to create a unique experience that brings new players in and retains them to create a thriving universe. DUST needs some time to grown into its shoes but it will get there and it will be a fun ride for the people who stick around and fall victim to New Eden. |

A lot of other people will disagree with what you say but this has been my first beta test and I actually feel like CCP is one of those great companies that is constantly working to improve what they make.
Sure they mess up every now and then, some times they'll mess up small scale, and sometimes big time, but they always are working to fix, rebuild, or improve what they've created.
So yeah agreed with the sentiment. I've met some great people through this game, both in my corp and outside in others.
This ones gonna be great! |

Haters can leave, but the game will survive as EVE has and I want to be around when those whiners come back looking for something that only DUST 514 can provide.

This forum community is, taken as a whole, a 6/10. I guess I'd never exposed myself to long-term FPS players before now.
That said, to the guys on here who try their best to raise the overall standard by helping out instead of crapping on the same plate they eat from: You're single-handedly stopping the jerks from turning this forum into a punching bag for their out of game issues, and for that I salute you. |

meh, MAG had the best community and was a much better game tbh. I like dust but it's not on the same level in any regards. |
