IE, you may be on Shift Duty and it is your job to fight the enemy if they attack your district. For some of the bigger Corporations and Alliances, this may mean a lot of serious fighting between well organized people. It may end up taking up quite a bit of the time that someone spends on DUST. And there starts the problem. If PC doesn't give Skill Rewards the more dedicated and serious you are to playing, the less Skill Points you will earn. Let's say you can earn 8k SP in a 20 minute Skirmish match (yes, numbers pulled squarely out of my buttocks). You are talking about 6 hours of play to cap out. If you are also including having to defend your districts from attackers or grab districts from the enemy, you are eating into your free time very quickly. I can completely accept "Sorry guys, I can't play because I have class/work" but "Sorry guys, I can't play because I need to cap out" is lame as it is saying that someone cannot enjoy the larger aspect of the game because they are having to farm a different aspect of the game. In other words: I can't play because I have to play. Be well.

Also, anyone in my corp who priotises anything else in-game over protecting our land will be kicked - you should send out the same message to your own mercs.

Good to hear that you'll get SP for it; I had not seen that. And why protect land when we can steal it from those dirty Gallente? They took my home: I want theirs! Be well.
