I had an Idea that I would like to discuss and receive feedback on. However, I do not know much about the lore in EVE or understand the technologies of weapons in the EVE universe. So I'm coming to the community to ask for help in producing an Idea that might help resolve the OP issues with weapons. The idea that I've discussed with fellow corp members, is the Idea to make Damage Universal for ammo types, and giving weapons perks according to their meta levels. Such as, better accuracy, range, and spread. Also since the game is an MMOFPS and everything has its weaknesses. I assumed that it would create better diversity and feel, if the each of the different ammo types I.E plasma did significantly more damage to armor rather than shields. Again this is a suggestion and I don't know much about the tech and how ammo types work in the EVE universe. Perhaps someone could give me better in-sight on this matter and provide feedback on whether or this idea is plausible.

They have it fairly well balanced already. The problem is all the weapon types arnt in yet. |

It's a good idea in my opinion. Why should my "skill" at using an assault rifle make the bullets hit 3/6/9/12/15% harder? The sharpshooter skill in older builds I found especially ********.
CCP are stuck in EVE-mode in a lot of ways. Some of the ideas they have are interesting but some of the concepts are just not right for hardcore FPS players, which is what we mostly are here as best I can tell. |

The big issue is that everything but the AR has been significantly nerfed to the point that they're all novelties now in comparison. The other weapons should be buffed back up so they can at least compete with the AR without all of them out shining it. The AR should be one of the best, not the best. Did you know that the AR out DPSes both the HMG and direct hits from the MD? What happened to balance? |

Yeah but the HMG has a much faster RoF and has a much larger ammo capacity in comparison to the AR, and I thought that was the reason for the nerf. The boundless HMG still beats me out even with my gallente DS+ Armor mods and Damage Mods.

Or CCP stop listening to every idiot who wants to nerf everything but the assult rifle, speisificaly tatical assult. Its like having 50-75% of people using one weapon in a match is not enough, now its 90% taticals.
I am not even sure how it is possible, builds are getting worse. |

Bacon is crunchy and delicious, they need to have every weapon fire bacon in order to fix all the op issues. |
