With the exception of players bailing out of a drop ship for insertion (So not the pilot!) would it be possible to add entry and exit animations to vehicles?
It seems incredibly archaic, like, UT99 style game play to have someone just APPEAR next to their vehicles, weapons blazing, when it gets damaged. The vehicle should be slow and they should literally have to pop the hatch on a tank and climb out.
Halo has this, Planetside 1 has this (Bizarrely not in PS2) and it's incredibly frustrating when a Heavy just drives around hopping out of his LAV, gunning someone down and hopping back in. That is assuming he missed when he tried to run you down in a car.
For a developer who prides themselves on making a very believable universe and immersive experience in space, the ground game is so jarring sometimes that it feels like I've stepped into a cartoon.
Any opinions or feedback on this? |

I completely agree and have been planning on requesting this for a while now. I think the immersion in this game is severely lacking and more mechanics like this should come into play. It is unbelievable that a pilot can mystically appear outside a burning wreck and avoid death. There should be an animation without a doubt. |

Well granted BF3 the "realistic shooter" doesn't have this either.
In any case, I wouldn't mind seeing an animation showing entry and exit animation into vehicles. |

This topic got discussed at a Fanfest roundtable, the consensus was that everybody wants it but the priority should be on fixing other core mechanics first. |
