Missile turrets are now much better but could still use a slight buff.
I think splash damage should be buffed somewhere between 10-20% and blast radius should be increased by 1-1.5 meters.
I sometimes launch missiles right next to enemies and they take no damage. When they do, sometimes it feels like they are on the edge of the blast radius so they receive a fraction of the damage.
One missile has a smaller blast radius and less direct and splash damage than a grenade. One would expect the opposite to be true but balance has to come before realism.
Also, it'd greatly help if CCP fixes the explosion register issues where infantry take no damage if my missiles explode above ground level. |

I would think fixing the explosion bug would give a noticeable boost to the missiles by itself. That said, I'd love a bit of an explosion radius buff, or maybe just improve the Fragmented launcher explosion radius and leave the others alone. |

Comparing small missile turrets to large, I found it odd that large turrets do less damage per missile but have a larger blast radius.
A proto large fragmented turret would only do 416 base splash damage if the target was hit by the splash from all four. This wouldn't kill a well fitted advanced medium dropsuit....missiles...from a tank...anti-infantry missiles at that. |

i expected the frag missile turret to perform against infantry alot better as well. no where near reliable enough to engage infantry as it is currently |

Wanted to give some input on this topic.
I've wanted to put some SP into my small turret skills so that I can have a strong lav team do some damage besides running people over. I really like the missile turrets and have gotten some funny kills even with the militia one, but I gotta say the explosion radius on these things are horrible.
Why does a missile fired from a mounted turret have the same explosion radius as a flaylock pistol. First time I used one I thought I was using a railgun turret. I then checked my fitting after the match to learn I was firing missiles. Missiles loaded with baking soda and water it seemed.
I liked OP's suggestion to increase the explosion radius by 1 or 1.5 M this would give an adequate boost to them. I would like to think a light turret missile should at least have a blast radius equal or larger to a mass driver.
Please look into this CCP weapons people. Try it out for yourselves, they hardly seem like missiles at all. |
