The Gallente light goes only .2 m/s faster than the Minmatar medium. The Minmatar light goes .3 m/s faster than the Gallente light.
The scout dropsuits do not have lower speed than basic light frames. (Logistics but not assault suits appear to have less speed than basic mediums.)
Light dropsuits have about the same PG and a little less CPU than medium frames. They have the same scan radius, and lower scan profile.
The advantage of scanning upgrades appears to be broken. This negatively affects the Gallente scout, as its bonus is not functional.
Gallente light suits trade a very marginal increase in speed for less CPU, HP, and fittings. This is not a viable trade-off, or balance.
Suggested changes:
--> Buff light speed, at least the Gallente light, a little bit, or shave a tiny bit off mediums' speed --> Nerf light PG
(lights *look* like they should go faster, but carry a smaller powerplant, and thus fit less or lighter equipment)
AND/OR
--> Reduce sp requirements for biotic upgrades >Dropsuit Biotic Upgrades require Dropsuit Upgrades 3 >Kinetic Catalyzation require Dropsuit Biotic Upgrades 3
(if it seems too much that your genetically enhanced bionic supersoldier wearing advanced machine clothing created by interstellar empires 21,000 years in the future could run around a devastating battlefield at a leading marathon pace for 15 or 20 minutes, then break into a sprint like Usain Bolt once in a while, then remember that the icons for these biotics are vials, so this is what happen only after you plug that person with lots of drugs, which really doesn't sound like it should take *that* much skill)
Stamina, weapon ranges, and effects on the Minmatar scout can be looked at for balance. |

Scout is perma-****ed dude. I gave up on that damned thing back in Chromosome and as soon as I saw it's skill bonuses for Uprising on Sisi, I turned my back on it and never looked over my shoulder.
Fact of the matter is - you're going to be waiting months for a fix and that fix is 'cloaking'.
Problem with 'Cloaking' is that I'm almost 90% POSITIVE that it's not going to be Scout specific and it's probably going to be CPU/PG intensive, meaning that only Scouts who have their core skills up will be using it and even then they're probably not going to be able to fit more than a standard weapon - thus the 'fix' is going to be utilized better by every other class.
Such is the story of this game's life. |

All this QQ-ing about the Tac AR. Just make the damn weapon SCOUT SUIT ONLY. God knows we need a powerful gun. Since all we really have to our name is a smaller hit box, everything else can be copied and even surpassed by an assault or logi.

With most weapons being continuous fire or aoe, the smaller hit box makes almost no difference.
All CCP needs to do is fix the speed and fix the scanning, and then scouts are worth running again.
Hopefully, with all the posts about this, they'll listen. It would be nice to get some acknowledgment, though. |

You also have to remember that room must be maintained for the other 2 scout suits. If Gallante and Minmatar are to be more combat oriented due to even more speed and more slots then Caldari and Amarr need to be more EWAR oriented with equipment and cpu/pg leads. My biggest fear is that people are trying to turn scouts into faster squishier assaults. |

Gallente scouts are supposed to be EWAR oriented; that's just broken ATM. It also barely has any speed advantage, so those of us specced into it are just sol.
Minnie scout is for hand-to-hand combat, and is both faster and squishier.
If we are adding slots, more lows for Gallente and high for Minmatar makes the most sense. |

I wouldn't say EWAR oriented, while Minmatar are pure combat (scout assault hybrid), Gallante are designed around Positioning, better detection and ambush set ups (which is still combat). I'm hoping the other 2 suits will be less combat oriented and more EWAR oriented. I would assume an EWAR scout would need at least a bare minimal of 2 eqiupment slots at proto level at the cost of a light weapon slot. |

They're trying to shoehorn different EWAR roles between scouts and logistics. Scouts are going to be the target painters and scramblers, and at a glance, the logis are going to be the tacklers. |
