there were two things about the forge gun always bothered me and that was, the fact that charging the weapon causes your player to steady the weapon and lower's movement speed, but why doesn't it lower horizontal and vertical look speed/sensitivity as well?
another thing is that the projectile has absolutely no drop over incredible distances, I propose a slight range nerf (10% or less) as well as adding gravity to the projectile (gravity is still present on other planets let's not forget). (for the sake of argument I also think sniper rifle's and railguns need bullet drop as well).
Those two things would require forge gun operation to actually require some skill rather than just pointing and shooting. the amount of travel time the bullet has is questionable as well, in my honest opinion it travels much too quickly.
I ask players to keep in mind that I do use and have used the forge gun, previous to and currently during the uprising build.
any constructive input is appreciated. |

I find the "Don't remove forge guns" pretty silly considering that option wasn't even on the table, I don't see anyone demanding their removal, nor would CCP even consider it. |

I've been saying for months that the damage scale between tiers needs to be adjusted and the assault needs a slight damage nerf to inspire incentive to use the breach. |

and currently forge is the only defense against durp ship considering they have nerfed swarms to uselessness vs a durpship. and tanks cant aim up any more so you go nurfing forge. and i has to go back 2 afking because ide be screwed by a dropship if i didnt has my forgie friends hop outa my hav and kill it when it hovers in the tank blind spot that ccp put in for us so nicely. if they nuerfed forge they would has to give tanker a flack cannon |

The FG got a close to 25% range nerf in uprising. Shorten it any more and it won't be able to fulfill its primary role as AV. Especially with so many tankers hiding out in their redlines because of how squishy they are, you have to actively hunt them.
The projectile is allegedly travelling at 7,000 m/s, it should have zero drop and zero travel time. Instead it travels quite slowly, and we actually have to lead targets. If you don't want to get hit, fly faster and throw some turns in. If you fly in a straight line, it is only a matter of time before someone lands one.
Projectile gravity is not coming any time soon, so don't even bother asking for it. Maybe PS4, but given how the servers crumble under load already, trying to get them to sort out projectile physics is a big ask.
Bottom line, if they are going to do anything, just roll back that 10% buff that they got, and call it a day.
Anymore than that is just catering to rookies who don't know how to fit out a vehicle. |

I did run heavy in previous builds but now im a dedicated tanker. Forge guns are the scaryest wepon for me I the game and I think their range (300m) is fine . Also no bulit drop makes sence as it is a rail gun fireing its projectile at 7000m per second so any sort of bulit drop within its range would be ridiculous. The only issue I have is the head glichers . |
