I am not sure if this has been posted yet or not, but I have just recently returned to DUST to update it, and the Ambush games end far too quick because of one thing: Not enough clones.
By about 6 minutes in to a 15 minute match, and the game is already over, and it's because (approximately) 50 clones have been killed. If this is the case, then the amount of clones should be increased to at least 75, but preferably 85, so that way there is more to kill and more to receive (ISK and SP) within "Fifteen Minutes" of an Ambush match. |

NOPE.
The time limit is a hard limit to prevent the match lasting forever, not a goal for match duration. Plenty of ambush matches reach that hard limit but it's fine when they don't. Working as intended. |

Okay, I suppose that nobody understood what I was saying (and that DSC is just being a stupid bragger), so how about I re-word it a little bit.
I like to play Ambush. The games just don't seem to be as enjoyable because by about the time I join in, just a couple minutes later the Clones are gone. I think there would be more enjoyment from the match if we had an increase in the number of clones by about, say, twenty-five clones on each team.
Does that work for you? |

The team getting stomped isn't going to get a better chance with more clones. They'd just get stomped for longer.

Ambush OMS still has 80 clones per side.
Personally, I prefer the reduction to 50 for standard ambush. I like it being quicker. a side able to win with 50 clones is unlikely to lose if clone count increased, it is usually quite clear who is going to in after a few minutes. |
