The shield extender skill now raises complex extenders from 66 HP to 72.6(gets rounded up), why has no one said anything about that? The same is true for the armor skill. Man, I feel dumb for not noticing it before |

*goes to log back in* I tested it on my Amarr basic suit with 225 Shields, 1 extender sent me to 298 instead of 291 |

Also its the same thing with the dropsuit bonuses per level. I sue the sever so i get +1% arm rep & +5% hacking speed per level. So at lvl 5 itll be +5 arm rep & +25% hacking speed |

The descriptions have been tweaked in several areas. The word of choice is efficacy. In medical terms, where is normally used, it refers to how effective a medication is for a purpose. In pharmacology it is the maximum effectiveness of a given drug, more than the maximum will produce no additional benefit.
The use of in this context is actually not common and it surprises me that they would use it. Unless the decision to confuse was purposeful, of course.
Efficiency would imply that the function either required less input to produce the output or the inverse that the same level of input produces more output because of increased efficiency. Which would actually be measurable and quantifiable with a level of confidence that a mathematical model could express the results.
The good news is that you finally figured out what was actually intended with their incorrect word choice. Maybe not incorrect but certainly a less than inspired choice as it leaves one uncertain as to the actual result. After all, increasing the efficacy of a shield shouldn't make a headache go away. |

Google Definitions
Google wrote:ef-+fi-+ca-+cy /-êefik+Ös-ô/ Noun The ability to produce a desired or intended result. Synonyms effectiveness - efficiency - effect - virtue
so the description turns into: "2% increase in the ability to produce the intended result of shield extenders"
Seems pretty clear and obvious to me.... |
