I've ran into a few instances of not being able to place my second standard nanohive even though it says max active 2. Anyone else? |

I haven't had an issue with this using the standard nanohive. It may be different on the other nanohives.
Are you sure it's not being used up very quickly(the standard nanohive cannot completely replenish my ammo + grenades without a sidearm). |

No, because the standard nanohive has a max active of 1 not 2 (although i'm sure it was 2 on the 6th?) |

Which Hive are you using Exactly? As in post the actual name of the Hive.
The first two options, Militia and tier 1, are useless as they too few resources and can only drop 1 hive. They cannot refill an AR and grenades for one Merc. The only one that works almost as good as Chromosome is the K-2. Which is rather pricey compared to the results it delivers.
This is consistent with CCP/Shanghai deciding that there way too many bullets being used.
The obvious solution was to remove all those pesky, pesy bullets. 
If that is not the case the Uprising Hives are junk. 
Almost forgot. Uprising doesn't tell you when you are out of Hives. It just won't let you equip them and that is probably what is confusing you. |

I know they're not great but I just checked now, the standard has a max active of 1 but I am 100% certain it was 2 when uprising hit (and obviously when I posted this).
Is this maybe for feedback/requests then, to allow dropping a nanohive without having used up all of the first one? |

This already exists, skill up to better nanohives, they not only allow multiple nanohives to be out, but they also give you more ammo over larger areas. |

Thanks, I know this already but thank you regardless. My problem was that I was certain the standard nanohive, after uprising, said 2 max active and has been changed since. |

As per my post above, I agree with you regarding the change in number of 'max active' from 2-1 for standard nanohives
