I think we've all sat down (or wished we could) and wanted there to be a bit more in the Merc Quarters. I've heard people range their wants from the trivial to the useful to the bizarre, but never really cataloged them. You want something in the Merc Quarters? Post it here! There are no dumb ideas, just ones that get you fed to the drones.

Logout via bed
Slay table for private games with friends
Added Holoscreen functionality: replays, watching matches, etc |

Most of those suggestions are a bit of a non-issue for me. I gotta say though the Holoscreen sounds pretty badass. |

Good luck with this. Sounds like solid FPS content...
But really 90% the reason your Merc HQ art exists currently is because it is a nearly exact replica of a feature from Eve that was subbed 'Walking in Stations'. It came with a pretty controversial expansion called Incarna, but the development of the avatar based interaction was not embraced by the community.
In Eve your quarters has a mysterious door which has been 'under construction' for a long time. The clear expectation and desire from CCP is to one day link the games together so well so that Mercs and Eve pilots can walk around and interact together.
CCPs CEO casually asked the audience at this year's fanfest if players wanted to 'open that door' or to have CCP spend time developing this link more, and it honestly was a very mixed reaction still with about as much cheers and boos. |

I understand this, but we can't just trash the whole feature as useless peripheral crap when it adds so much to the atmosphere. Adding true functionality to it will make people look on it more favorably. It's a chicken-and-egg thing. Noone wants work done to it because it seems to be useless fluff, but nothing functional will be added until people want CCP to work on it. |
