I recently put forth two help tickets (one over the MAG suits and another over the pre-purchase item from the Second Decade set). While one got the expected response given the many threads on the subject, the other got the unusual response of being handed to the devs for the development of an automated response. This struck me as one would think a GM would have the power to address in-game issues more readily. At least, that's how it is in most other games where there is paid staff overlooking game operation. The fact that all I see the GMs doing is answering help tickets and locking forum threads leads me to think that the GMs here are little better than forum moderators and have no real power over the game or player accounts. This is a travesty. If someone has a genuine, plausible issue in-game a GM should be able to do something about it without having to ask upper management for permission. That's what the role entails. It's in the name! Game Master. Not manager, not minion, not misanthrope. Master.
As it stands now the help ticket system is useless for little more than the reporting of bugs which, by the way, has it's own reporting system so I guess it's good that there's a level of redundancy on that. I don't think I'll be using the help ticket system again if all I can expect from it is, "We'll send it to the devs so they can automate a fix." |

They helped me with a refund on my MAG BPO's (Purchased @ 19800 AUR each)

How? They said they coulndt do anything with my Raven suit. Which was bought with aurum for about that same price. |

I sent a calm request stating it had bought them for 19800 AUR each and was now in a position where they were useless to me as I was not speccing into that race. So unless there were any plans in the near future to remove the racial\sp requirements could they refund the the AUR and they could check transaction logs against my Character to prove the full price purchase and they they were not Event won or cheap in Merc Packs.
I think the GM's are starting to get the message now and are allowing refunds for more people where as yesterday i think everyone was screaming at them and they had no information so were giving out "copy\paste" replies...
Give it another go stating that others are now starting to get refunds, just play nice |

Well, I'll be damned, he was right. Still, all that said, they still need more power to do their job. Having to wait days for resolution on things that could be solved with an hour's effort is borderline inexcusable. As I said, they are Game Masters, not Game Middle Management. |
