PvE in many games will be used to grind money. Sure, we all have money now and most corps will have plenty of cash for the initial rush of PC. Once the dust settles most corps will have exhausted their funds and the most powerful corps in dust will be holding the districts. What will we use to fund our assaults?
We can't just pub stomp all day and night, we need PvE. PvE is the life blood to most MMOs. I personally can only think of one game atm where PvE made PvP excellent and competitive. DCUO(DC Universe Online).
In DCUO equipment had sockets, you had to use mods (collect items to craft them) to fill in the sockets to give you stat bonuses. Now, the GÇ£PlansGÇ¥ to craft the mods could only be obtained in raids(PvE). They of course dropped off the bosses. Not saying we need 8-man raids and what have you but it is a pretty good example of how PvE effects PvP. They also had a system using feat points, but thatGÇÖs a whole other story.
In short, PvE is the lifeblood of PvP. Either in funding us money, gear, or creatable items. ItGÇÖs something that will be need in the near future.

I may be wrong but I could have sworn they are in the final stages of releasing a co-op type pve element that will pit the players against the rouge drones as they are in EVE Online. |

Good see some Giants in here ^^
Definitely agreeing. In place of the feature I've been running around collecting ideas from folks for a few months now. It's a pretty healthy read, but worth it if this is something you think important as I certainly do. Feel free to put in your 2 cents ^^
