last builds it was an anoyance this build its a problem because they are virtually undetectable, unreachable, and the terrain difference between both teams are radically different that even hunting them down is near impossible.
why is it so hard to not give both teams equal terrain except a completely safe base without uncontested free kills?
why not develope an expanding redline that pushes losing teams out of spawns and more into the battlefield?
there should not be guaranteed safe zones where ppl dont have to do much to play the match and score ontop. |

Sorry dude but red line snipers are no longer an issue. I don't know which map you played this but sniper count has reduced and snipers now have to constantly move around. I have seen a lot of people loose their thales in pubs. |

So you dont like snipers and want CCP to force them into CQC? Seems silly. |

I'm hardly an expert on the topic as I've only been playing for a bout a month, but I've found redline sniping (non-tank) to be less viable than it was in the previous build. Part of this is the feel of the controls, but the range of all of the weapons was also reduced. I find myself in the support marksmen role more now than in the past. In addition, I find myself closing to clean up opponents with my side arm alot more (terrain permiting), something I did very seldom before. I suppose I could sit back and take shots from a great distance, but it really doesn't have the deterance effect it did before because it's harder to land multiple shots at range and much harder to headshot moving target at more than maybe 100-150m. |

red lining isn't that great at all, on most maps, grab your Kaal and get on closer, much more effective for this build. Plus there are less snipers, and less blueberries falling into sniping as a defense mechanism |

As a dedicated sniper, I can tell you that redline sniping is not nearly as easy at it use to be, terrain changes, changes in redline limits, and the fact that there are a ton fewer snipers than there use to be, all leads to less redline sniping. In fact, snipers have not seen any love in Uprising. Where are our Racial skill bonuses? I don't see a +5 anything for snipers. |

Sniper isn't a race.....
Seriously though, I think the racial bonuses apply to the combination of race & suit, and typically provide some type of benefit to the primary role of the suit (and sometimes the weapon, like in the case of the Amarr suit)
However, Sniper rifles have the same damage bonus that the assault rifles and some other weapons get, correct? Given the higher damage of the SR, this base bonus has a much bigger impact than it does on other weapons, so I'd say you are already coming out ahead and have nothing to complain about.

Snipers are still an issue. With the pushing of the redline right up to objectives snipers have even more room to hide behind. See that sniper killing your guys going 26-0. Cant do anything to him other than the drop a ton of point into sniping as well, because you can't flank him or force him out of position. I also have run into the problem of guys getting into armor, and then ducking into the safety of the redline to recharge and rearmor, right next to the objectives, favoring the team whoses redline is right on it. |

The colors are hell to spot fellow sinpers, but i had no problem using my milita sniper to headshot people. No redlining, just good old cover, stealth, and people sticking to the same damn position (thanks).
Even after being spoted, people woulnd-¦t come to me after the respawn, so....
The only thing different is that depending on the distance, the image of the vehicles moving around is completely bizarre, don-¦t know if it-¦s rendering or what, but far away objects move differently in chunks compared to people next to them. (so no, not a connection issue) |

I love sniping, the other day I had much fun helping to defend a point from a distance. Didnt get many kills by myself, but I got a handful of assists, as soon as I lvl up some more those turn into kills. |

manus peak, you can no longer reach them its BS, you have no counter positions to pop them out because of the expanded redline is in their favor. |

The redline is still an issue. I say do away with it altogether. Especially manus peak where the red line is hugging A. Its frustrating especially when vehicles always have a safe haven to run too when they are low on HP. |

Sounds like a job for a counter sniper, if a sniper can hit you, a counter sniper could hit them, maybe you should coordinate your team. |

I'm not saying we need dmg increases in the lease, but we have scope sway, distance, how about an increase to clip size or RPM or for the Charge Sniper Rifle, a decrease in charge time? There are other ways to give sniper's bonuses on Racial Proto suits. Of course, CCP has already acknowledged that not all the suits are finished and that more are coming out, so there may be suits coming to snipers, I'm just saying, in Uprising, Snipers saw no love and we suffer from the same new Aim mechanics as everyone else. Also, that was suppose to say Racial Suit skill bonuses....lol...my bad.

Wonder if this idea could help with all these red line "issues". What if the mmc and consequently the red line moved around the outside area of the battle? Just a thought |
