Is the new Standard AR it seems range is better than the base AR but still not great. I didn't even know this weapon existed until I started playing this build and seeing EVERYBODY using it.
Feels like it's built for KBM though. I'm on controller and I can't seem to be as effective with it as I've seen others make it look easy.
Also @ CCP Use the Duvolle Tactical AR for a couple of games and you will see first hand just how bad, terribad, your hit detection is.
P.S.- I have a good feeling that a Duvolle Tactical Assault Rifle Nerf is Coming SoonTM, most likely before all the actual important crap that needs to be fixed with this game. |

I don't think it's getting nerfed so soon though...the weapon still has a niche pretty much like the LR. |

yup and hip fire is pretty accurate so basically it is OP when used with a modified controller. more range plus over double the dps so heavys can't even come close to out DPS them with the HMG. well to be honest the only thing even can come close for hand held weapon is shotguns in terms of DPS and the TAR wins so yea OP much. |

Don't get me wrong I think it's OP too but just saying that it doesn't work well with modded controllers..
Also it seems people are complaining more about the range then damage. |

if the RoF was fixed it would fix the modded controller issue and not get the back door treatment it had before. people don't like it because of the modded controllers once that's fixed it'll be fine have it's uses without being OP. |

The tac rifles are used more now since they have a dot sight you can aim with instead of the crap iron sights
Also why does everyone say modded controller, I can walk into a store and pick up a controller with a turbo function and not have to modify it at all |

Iv got a modded Controller ( tho I RARELY EVER use it in Dust ) it does take away almost all the recoil and even makes AR, and SMG ( the only to guns Iv tried with it ) fire faster then full Auto.

I've killed people with modded controllers in games. And I've been accused of using a modded controller.
Major tip: you don't need to press the trigger all the way down in order to fire it. Just hit it half way. |

Lol its always gotta be hax here goes the new qq nerf cries. Omg nerf the TaC people are cheating with it! Nerf the laser, nerf heavies, nerf tanks, nerf everything! Next it will be zomg nerf the scrambler rifle because people are cheating with it! I can use it just fine with a controller no mods or nothing like that. I have played plenty of other shooters with single shot weapons so the TaC feels natural for me. |

I take it your country has no consumer protection laws?
If there was an ad here with "sham-wow guy" telling me his product would keep my floor clean for a year, I could buy it, clean the floor, then take it back in 2 weeks with photos of the mess on my floor and get a full refund. And if I didn't, I could take it to small claims court, get a full refund and have the company pay all the court costs. |

Modded controllers could pose a real problem here, however I doubt even 1/1,000 Tac AR users are using Modded controllers.
I can shoot about 5-7 shots/sec ( ~500dps )
The Codewish Duvolle Tac allows 13.15 shots/sec ( ~950dps )
This means a modded controller could easily dish out double the damage of a regular controller. The recoil is so huge that I'm not sure it would even work however. If anyone owns a modded controller I would like to see an actual video of it in dust.
Here is an example of modded controllers on single action guns in BO2. They are a clear advantage.

CCP could fix this really easily by limiting the Tac AR to a more reasonable 8-10 shots/sec. No human can shoot 13.15 times a second, leaving the number so high just leave it open to modded controllers.

And about the modded controllers, yes people do that. I actually met an enemy once, he was firing that thing so fast that it sounded like an HMG.
Nerf is required. I'd add that AR's in general need further nerfing. Specially when the racial variants kicks in.

it just goes to show (once again) that CCP pay no attention to things pointed out time and time again.
Last build did you see any Tac AR's? that's because it got hit with a bunch of recoil (this was to stop them being exploited with modded controllers) - result... pointless, useless weapon that might as well have been removed from game.
This build they have turned down the recoil and increased the damage? WTF!!! so once again they are exploitable with a modded controller...
CCP.... it has been suggested by multiple people many times before that to keep the TAC AR as a viable weapon that the rate of fire needs to be reduced - why the **** can't you just do that??
tl;dr - CCP balance fail once again |

Yep. As much as I think the modded controller fear is a BIT too extreme, there is no reason to not simply reduce the ROF on it a bunch to ensure it cant be abused. Knock it down to like 120 - 240 a minute. Whats it at now, like 400? |
