I thought it was just me but this time I'm sure.
Sometimes you are not able to deploy your second nanohive. It's showing up in my inventory, but when I R2 to select it then it won't become active. Generally, I'm so used to it working I fire off a shot expecting it is already selected... |

There is no indicator which shows how many hives you have left. You can have 3 or 0 and the icon looks the same.
Also if you are using militia hives, I believe you only get one. |

Yes the count seems to be broken and militia hives have been nerfed to carry one, and a load less nanites. (a good thing I think) |

Then skill into a proper hive... the whole point of this game is teamwork and specialization, being able to swap into all kinds of fits and carry a kitten load of ammo at all times is kind of silly. |

Yes, the problem is with the militia nanohive, which CCP has stated was nerfed to entice people to skill up into better nanohives. The problem, now, is that alot of people have had to pick and choose what gets SP alot more carefully. In my case I had to pick dropsuit over equipment so I can't use better nanohives. I probably won't be able to skill into better nanohives for another few months again. It's the fundamental flaw here. |

Militia Nanohives have been nerfed, I think it's possibly a slight over-nerf as long as there are still times where deploying the Nanohive will result in the ground eating it. They're already consumed by 2 Grenades or 3 Swarm volleys, or a couple of clips of SMG bullets. Giving us a second Nanohive doesn't seem out of the question.
I like that there's more incentive to skill into better things, but I don't think they should push it QUITE this hard, and they've also nerfed the other Nanohives' effectiveness slightly, so they're not as much better as they really should be if that was the point. Kind of disappointing overall.
Add the lack of counter on the equipment wheel, and it's not really helpful at all. |
