Instead on the new SP sink we have, Why did they not just make a bunch of new skills?
The way I see it, every "Specialization" suit Should have had a new specialization skill tree whos skills only applies to the user in said suit.
Prerequisite would be having level 5 in the related skill and having an equal level in you specialized suit skill per which ever skill you wished to upgrade.
Some examples I thought up just now as I type this.
Scout suit would have had something like Movement Optimization: 2% bonus to scout movement speed per level. Stamina Optimization: 3% bonus to Stamina regeneration per level. Stealth Coating: 3% Reduction to Scout scan profile per level.
Assault Weaponry Optimization: 2% Reduction to all light weapon CPU/PG per level. Weaponry Fire rate customization: 1% increase to light weapon fire rate per level Ammunition reserve upgrade: 2% increase to reserve ammunition per level.
Heavy Armor Optimization: 3% Increase to Armor per level. Shield Optimization: 3% Increase to Shield per level. Damage mitigation upgrade: 2% resistance to light weapon damage per level.
There, I thought up 9 dubious skills in 98 seconds, why could you not do that in 4 months?
Please other players, come up with some skills and try to not be to outrageous. |

No idea what logi would have.
Maybe something like 2% bonus to repair tool efficiency per level 4% bonus to scan radius per level |

Funny - this is what I thought CCP meant a year ago. Lots of skills = lots of places to put it = takes time to fill it all out. Wish they'd of warned me they meant for everything to take over a month to get. |

Hell, why should only the weapons have a skill tree added? Give Rep tools a skill tree, hives, injectors, give skill trees to all gear I say.
Anything is better than SP sink as it is now,
People Like to Unlock things, it is why COD system has word for so long, consistent unlocks, in COD you get an unlock almost every level and getting levels don't take a week. Had CCP instead gave us many many skills, we could feel like we were unlocking something with every SP cycle. Now it takes up to 4 SP cycles to unlock something |
