Quote:Hi,
Our CPM recommended I contact you directly. Prior to uprising I was under the impression that certain items would be kept, and certain items would be taken with a reimbursement of the item value.
Items that were stated to be sticking around or persisting: PSN items and items received from events (those not purchasable on the in-game market)
And these were said to be going:
All AUR items will be cleared and users reimbursed with their current AUR value (with exceptions noted previously, such as Militia BPOs).
So, it seems reasonable to expect that the aurum-based BPOs that are Sever and Raven would be part of the reimbursement. They were market-bought, and are still available there. They are also not militia BPOs.
As an side, for some reason I still have my Neo Heavy suits (also Aurum items) as well.
I've heard that some people were able to get the Raven and Sever from events, but this was not the case with me - as I assume you can reference from my transaction history.
The problem now is two-fold: the items mentioned were not taken and I was not reimbursed with Aurum. This alone is somewhat troubling. However, the SP required to use these items have drastically ballooned as well - requiring several million SP of specialization into specific racial frames to use them at all. This is a far contrast from the investment previously required.
I will not ask to have the items changed to be usable, that's beyond the scope of either what was promised or any reasonable expectation. Besides, I'm sure they're great for some people still. However, considering the changes and the prior statements from the Dev Blog, I would greatly appreciate being reimbursed for these two items specifically.
Thank you,

Quote:Hi there. The reason that your Raven and Sever suits were not refunded can be found in the DEV Blog post below: http://dust514.com/news/blog/2013/05/uprising-skill-point-re-spec-details/Please note the specific part that states: "Also, important to note, any PSN items (such as the Mercenary Pack), Militia BPOs (which are not being changed), and any in-game event items (such as the Black Eagles, Skinweave and Quafe Dropsuits) will NOT be removed from your Assets." The Raven and Sever suits were part of a special Tribute Mercenary Pack that was available last year. (The Valor suit was also part of this pack). Just like the 'normal' Mercenary Pack, this is why they were not automatically refunded. As for your second point, we are currently investigating the SP issues that you raised. Please follow the DUST 514 Forums for the updates in this matter. Please bear with us. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused. Regards, GM Rhino CCP Customer Support | EVE Online | DUST 514
My counter-argument:Quote:
"any in-game event items (such as the Black Eagles, Skinweave and Quafe Dropsuits) will NOT be removed from your Assets.""
That event happened before I started playing, and I paid Aurum for my suits - as I suggested you can check my transaction history.
Going from the dev blog, I had no reason to believe a suit that I paid for (the "on the market" stipulation), did not receive in an event (nor did I know it was given at an event), would not be reimbursed. I didn't even find out people received it at events till after uprising, I assumed everyone paid Aurum for it - and it was not specifically listed on the blog. You're suggesting I need to be personally familiar with the origins of every item and event-rewards in the game prior to when I started playing to know I won't get a refund.
Does that make sense? I didn't have an account last year, I couldn't possibly have received a suit that was: "part of a special Tribute Mercenary Pack that was available last year."
For me, it was a market item and it could never have even possibly been an event or merc pack item as it happened before I was a player. To put a finer point on it:
"PSN items and items received from events (those not purchasable on the in-game market)" - "items that will persist"
It was not available through either to me (events or PSN/merc pack), it was only available through Aurum on the market (and was purchasable on market both before and after the uprising patch).
It's sort of like if I bought a car, and it was defective. You say you'll be taking returns on all defects as long as they weren't prizes. You refuse to take my car back because the same model was given away as a prize last year, and you're not recognizing that I paid for my car - it was not a prize.

Quote: Hello,
Thanks for your email.
I just wanted to clarify some details regarding the issue in question.
The 'Mag' Tribute Suits were originally Merc Pack items and subsequently added for purchased on the in-game Market following a popular demand from players for BPOs Dropsuits to be made available.
As such, the 'MAG' Tribute Suits ('Sever', 'Raven' and 'Valor') do not fall under the reimbursement wave which came with the deployment of the Uprising build.
I can certainly understand this can be a bit of an inconvenience and I can only apologise once again for not being able to provide you with a positive solution to your problem.

It appears they're definitely averse to reimbursing players individually, even if they didn't receive them from events. |
