CCP knows that the only reason that most people have kept playing is in order to cap out while waiting for PC/FW/whatever. They didn't actually play because they liked the game, they played because they felt that they had to in order to remain competitive. So by resetting SP like they should have after such a major overhaul and in order to attract new players, CCP would have pissed off the majority of 'veteran' players who have solely been playing for SP. CCP knows that this game is not fun enough for most people to actually want to play, so instead of making it accessible, they decided to try to hold onto these players for as long as possible before they scrap DUST completely as a failed game. Wake up sheeple. |

I would be ok if CCP did a full reset. A least it would help the newest players cope instead of getting proto-stomped. New players may not be great but they'd be closer to competitive than what they'll find now against proto users. |

Can you provide a good reason against an optional respec? Can you?
Here are some reasons for it:
1. There are new weapons coming out
2. Some skills don't do what they say they do
3. Creating a new character is a horrendous process now
You're a typical CCP suckup. "No, everything is the player's fault! We shouldn't be allowed to change our minds or experience new things!! Stupid casuals!!"

People play for different reasons. Some actually like the grind. Some for stats, achievement.
I like to play for fun and adrenaline: I've had some of the most thrilling FPS experiences in years playing Dust. The best one was on first day of Uprising, coming out on top in a 3v1 - took down two heavies and someone else in a shotgun scout suit. |

If CCP wanted to retain 12 year olds with the attention span of gerbils, they would've made CoD in Space. |

We don't need an SP reset. You want to train into a new weapon? Grind the SP out. Fin. |

Are they not reseting at the official launch?
I would assume they would as a beta isn't the full game... and everyone should be on the same page when it gets released? ie. someone is already behind because they didn't play the beta?
As a beta is to get feedback on a game that isn't yet released? Not a form of giving players a head start against people that don't. |

In one of the dev blogs, when ccp gave their reasoning behind the respec, they mentioned the fact that P/C was coming on the 14th along with new weapons, they advised that people save their sp and to not be hasty with skilling up until more features were added on the 14th. Now if people were too careless with their sp.....that's their own fault. 'Pity me' threads across this forum about said sp is not needed and its getting very f***ing boring now. |

So if one has not actively grinded in the beta they will be at a disadvantage when the game is officially released?
That's BS. A beta is a beta. When the full game is released all progression should be lost and everyone starts anew so its a level playing field. |

I think he means an SP reset like everyone now has 500k sp reset kind of reset.

Technically, although may 14 is launch, the 'beta work in progress' banner has gone. So we are out of beta already |
