The Fittings Calculator isn't nearly as comprehensive as hydraSlav's, but is still usable for Uprising until his is updated. It includes Vehicle and Dropsuit fittings.
Most people will probably find the Skills calculator helpful, showing how many SP you need to get to your desired levels.
Created in Excel 2010 and available for download here. I did not embed any macros, for those worried about a potential security risk.
There is no item list embedded in the spreadsheet, so you will have to enter data into the red cells by hand. On the upside, this allows a bit more freedom and creativity to experiment with hypothetical fits.
What's missing:
I did not list stats that are a product of a single multiplication on the fittings page to keep it less crowded. Vehicle modules' effects that do not have an easily discernible statistic for measurement and active module statistics were not included.

Gotta say: good work.
You can upload excel files to Google Docs, it converts fine most of the times. Give it a try.
More people are likely to check out Google Docs then a download file. With that said, i've downloaded the file and had no problems with it.
I will try to get mine updated when the weekend comes. Spring yard work, my 1-year-old, and work don't leave much time right now, however i did already try out a prototype for role bonus calculation

Thanks for the support, hydraSlav's. I actually wasn't even aware of your fitting tool until I showed mine to my corp and they pointed me in your direction. I noticed you still hadn't updated yours for Uprising, so I thought I'd give it a release here on the forums until you fixed it. Unless you plan on adding an SP calculator into your tool (you can just copy mine if you're feeling lazy) players should still be able to find that useful after you update yours.
With the new update, I felt it was too burdensome to keep everything in my head, so I thought I would make a spreadsheet to do it for me while I was in-between class. I plan on working in defense/intelligence/security so using an exploitable tool (e.g. Excel with embedded macros) from an untrusted source is a big no-no. I thought people might appreciate an option sans macros for the same reason, and offered the file for direct download so people wouldn't have to go to a risky file-sharing site, but the DUST forums couldn't sparse the link until I tinyURLed it, and I wondered how many people would actually venture over the wall. I'll looked into uploading it to Google Drive to see if that might alleviate 'link anxiety' for others. Is this it?
Congratulations on your 1-year-old! It sounds like you're blessed with a wonderful family, even a wife who helps with technical pet projects. Don't feel rushed. People like me are here to fill the gap, and if people don't like our efforts they're free to calculate everything themselves. =) |

It looks like you "published" your spreadsheet. Don't do that. Make it viewable to public, and post the original link. If it's published, there is no option to "make a copy" or download or anything else.
I was playing around with applying dropsuit role bonuses onto modules (applying them to dropsuits was easy, but onto modules is a whole different story). A formula with 4 operands became a formula with 12 operands because of all the permutations. Now repeat that for every cell.... sigh.... Oh, and i was using your spreadsheet for the dropsuit role bonuses :)
If you are interested, i may ask you to prep the suit/weapon/module stats for me. There is a spreadsheet floating around with the converted .csv dump from CCP. It just needs to be flipped a little. Let me know.
And let me guess: do you have 2 boys? |
