This happened to me several times last night.
I hold R2 and tap L3 to bring up squad order, go to set the defense on a teammate, set the defense (which is much more of a pain now when they are at great distance I get 'invalid target') and then the switch weapon screen will be frozen in the middle of my viewing area.
Similarly, another time the switch weapon screen did not stay up, but my reticule disappeared.
This did not happen EVERY time, but happened enough that it quickly got annoying.
It was easily remedied by hitting start and going to the menu then backing out right away
But this is a bug that needs to be addressed.
It seemed to happen more frequently when I was trying to set the order quickly (locking on and hitting R1 very soon after bringing up the order)

+1 this also. It got pretty f****g hard to select a target for any squad order. Selecting a null cannon is almost impossible sometimes. |

happened again last night a few times.
before when setting squad orders you could HOLD the R1 button until you could lock on your target, then let go when you were locked and you were good.
NOW, soon as you tap R1 it assigns the target, or you get 'invalid target' if you are too far away (extremely annoying)
this is causing us the repeat the process sometimes several times in succession, which is when I see this issue |

yes distance is now a limiting factor as well, which makes things even more difficult due to spawning on opposite sides of the map at times. the fact that we cannot hold R1 while attempting to 'lock' on our order target has made the entire system very difficult to manage, and we no longer even have the option of applying orders in the overhead map either...
I'm glad this has been noticed and can only hope it is addressed in a timely manner |

As are we all.
I also noticed that I have a hard time selecting the defend order. There seems to be a delay between releasing R2 and actually having the Command Wheel go away. I would be selecting Defend but it would be giving me capture and attack.
Another thing I've noticed is that you can not for some reason apply a defend order on something far away which is frustrating at times. |
