Yesterday I read that supply depots were consuming any suit you switched out so I tweeted the message so that my fellow mercenaries would not lose expensive suits. Since I tweeted this I was asked to assist in reproducing the issue.
This morning I took the time to create two unique dropsuit fitting using militia Amarr and Caldari dropsuits with five suits for each. I do not use either races suits in my normal fittings to make it easy to keep track of them. I spawned into a skirmish on Manus Foothill and ran around in the redline for a while firing off ammo and switching between the two fittings making sure I didn't die in either. After I switched between the two test fittings more than five times each I switched to my normal suit and ran off to join the battle.
At the end of the match both fittings contained the original amount of suits and weapons. Nothing was consumed.
My normal job is calling so I'll end my own testing here. If you feel you are losing suits at supply depots then please post the steps to reproduce here so that CCP can squash it. Personally, I'm back to switching suits to harass snipers and vehicles drivers.

Thank you VERY much for posting this. These kind of posts help us dramatically and are really appreciated. If someone is responding to this and feels they did lose something they shouldn't have including the actions you took along with a date, time, and character name would be greatly appreciated. :) |

I lost one at some point during the previous six hours, without dying in a match.

The suit I had lost just reappeared in my inventory. Weird. |

I tried this yesterday and paid close attention to my inventories before and after the suit swap.
Could not reproduce. |

if I am reading this all correctly, I am assuming that perhaps the PS3 client just thinks you lost a suit, but the server keeps the right number and eventually updates the client |

Its hard to pinpoint a specific time this happens, it happened to me throughout the night last night, almost every time i used the supply depot I lost a suit. |
