What i'm wondering is why people are even debating if there should be a respec or not when the fact of the matter is that people were mislead in the SP description and therefore spent a substantial amount of said skill points. I see absolutely no reason for there not to be another respec come release date,(the game isn't even released yet!). Are the people that say no really so lazy that they cannot spend 2 min reallocating their sp to what they were before?
I just dont understand why there is a heated debate about this with people saying "QQ you should have waited for ccp to fix bla bla"........ or my favourite "this is new Eden". This is a damn game whether you like it or not! who the hell wants to keep playing when they can't reverse an error due to being misinformed by the game. That some people relate this game to real life is just so damn sad.
Come on guys just let there be a respec come release day, it shouldn't be a massive inconvenience for you naysayers.

Why are you so angry
Why should you be upset whether those who screwed up their skills get a respec or not? Does this hurt you in some way I'm not seeing? |

i agree. Dust reminds me of how FROM did dark souls and demons souls. Its hardcore, no remorse. You want to go in without researching stuff or be impatient and go balls to the wall un-prepared...then you suffer, you lose AND on top of that, the souls games got HARDER the more you messed up. In Dust its the same...you want to **** around and blindly dump SP or not educate yourself on current skills or new skills then you suffer, the game gets harder for you. |

It's totally our fault for not VIOLATING PSN TERMS OF USE and having more than the allowed 3 characters.
It's also totally our fault that we read the descriptions on the skills and somehow failed to realise that they weren't actually accurate depictions of what those skills were going to do.

Evaluation and experimentation are what BETAs are for.
Not everyone has been playing since last year, and not everyone treats a BETA as the finished product.
Some people, believe it or not, use a BETA to try stuff out, either to see if they like it or not, or to evaluate and provide feedback to the developers.
People shouldn't be punished for treating a BETA like a BETA.
I don't think that an optional respec at release is an unreasonable request. |

The fact that I have to do my research and study up on the skills for a video game is absurd. I should be able to get by through reading the skill description that should be accurate. The fact that I and so many others that just want to have fun with the game and not be lied to when investing on a given skill must scour the forums for misleading information in the game is just plane nonesense. |

The people against another respec are just afraid the competition might get tougher. It's the only thing I can think of to make them so hostile towards a 2nd respec. I was going to say take your first reply as an example but then I noticed it was an Imp; therefor cannot be taken seriously. |

So if its just a beta then create a new character at launch.
All of these people knew that as Beta testers our reward was keeping our SP and this was going to be the final reset so you would think they would be careful.
I messed around last reset and when I came on the forum and found out it was supposed to be the final one, I was a bit pissed but I started to train properly after that. This go around I havent even spent my SP yet.
CCP need to "fix" the poor weapons and equipment or communicate to us that they are operating as intended so people know where they stand on that front but users that "know it all" and just skilled up quickly should only blame themselves, especially if they visit the forum frequently. |

So I am considered lazy because I took the time to write out and plan my skill points for the new respec and planned properly? Yes I took a day to respec but I got everything I wanted. Maybe instead of rushing into things and just plopping points wherever, look at things carefully. I am fine with another respec but plan it out on paper first. I work ten hour days plus and still made the time to do it properly.
If you don't plan, you are planning on failure. |

Why should an actual BETA TESTER lose their "reward" (the SP they've earned to this point), for treating a BETA like a BETA, and actually spending their time trying different things, in order to provide as much feedback to the developers as possible, rather than treating it like a head-start over players who join after the official launch?
If that's the case, then just do like other games, and just RESET everyone at launch. Everyone starts at square one. Period.
If anything, those players who use a BETA to test EVERYTHING about the game deserve the "reward" more than those who treated it like it was a finished product, IMO. |

The only reason you have the information about the skill screw ups is because people like me skilled into the sh!t, found out that it was broken, and then posted about it on the forums, so your lazy @$$ could learn about it. Now how about showing a little ******* respect where it is properly due. Grow a ******* brain! |

THIS All people that cry because they didn't read the description, specced lvl 5 in Dropsuit Command and want a respec are just plain stupid. It's their decision and if they done a bad one ... LIFE. But if we have inacurate skill descriptions, allocate SP using the ingame info and it turns out "this was a bug" it's absurd. |

My eyes work fine dip****.
The vehicle engineering skill CLEARLY states that it is supposed give a 5% increase to vehicle max PG what it actually does, and what CCP had intended for it to do - as CCP has already made statements in other threads - is give a 5% reduction to CPU consumption of powergrid modules. But if you had used your eyes and done a little reading on this forum then you would already know this.
{edit>>> if I had known this at the time I was skilling my character - which I would have if the skill description had been acurate - I would NEVER have skilled into vehicles at all. But instead I had to east 7 million SP to find that little fact out.
Do not **** with me on this man. I am in no ******* mood for this **** right now. And am just looking to take people to the ringer on this. |

LOL - Digital Badman - What a fcuking joke
And what does it matter who you take to task - It is up to CCP to fix it regardless of who you forum stomp or should I say try to forum stomp. The space between your ears must be glorious
As I have said in this and previous threads - CCP need to fix the stuff that need to be fixed and communicate about the other stuff that is working as intended. Also with SS and WD (weapon damage through weaponry) removed, CP should have a much faster delivery of weapon balance changes, delivered bi-weekly for example to keep gamers from raging and maybe leaving. |
