the old shotty may not have sounded like a real gun but it sounded menacing all the same.
when you heard that springy, ripping metal sound, you knew one hit death was coming.
this new thing sounds more like beating a sack of leaves with a stick. |

I second this, its like the current shotgun sounds like a modern day shotgun and it also sounds like it has a suppressor. Best shotgun sound was previous shotgun sound! |

As much as I despised the old shotgun sound, knowing that it was coming to bring me harm, at least it sounded like it would hurt me. It's very annoying now to die to something that sounds like a bunch of air is being blown at me, being hit with a soft pillow, or sometimes I don't even hear it at all. I too would like to have the old sound back. |

With the volume turned way up, the new sound is amazing.
With a sensible volume, it's pathetic. |

Slap that four square ball.
If the new sound is not great, that doesn't mean the old one was good. Pavlovian conditioning is the only thing that makes the sound of a rubber ball a thing to fear.

they should swap out the shotty sound with the sound of you landing after a jump (the sound of your boots hitting the ground), that is WAY overly loud |

I always thought the old shotgun sounded like a hammer striking an anvil. For this reason, when I first started I thought there was a forge gun near me when I heard a shotgun. |

Idk about you guys, but old sound made me giggle as I blasted people with it. It's SFX was comical IMO. Now I don't even chuckle when I get killed by it. It sounds like a silenced fart now and its annoying at best. |
