Match squads against other squads: sometimes you just want to just play by yourself and relax, in those cases being matched against squads provides too much of a challenge to be fun, and too little challenge for the squad. If I'm just playing by myself, don't match me against a full squad of some elite corp.
Match players based on ALLOCATED SP: 1 million (allocated) SP or below players get thrown in one battle, 2 million SP and below players get thrown in another battle, etc. Right now I'm saving my SP before specializing so I'm still using militia starter fits, and I keep getting matched with people with prototype weapons and prototype specialized dropsuits; not a pleasant experience at all. Playing against these highly specialized players is too much of a challenge for most, and not enough of a challenge to the proto wearers.
These suggestions would pretty much end pubstomping, and good for making an enjoyable first gameplay experience for new potential customers. |

I don't know if this will do.
You'll still earn SP and if you come online sometimes and also play until your caped well then you'll also spend the SP. But just because you got a lot of SP it doesn't mean that your good. Donno if the MM has to be done depending on KD or maybe WP's earnt in average ?? If you have 8 mill SP you might be able to run a proto suit but doesn't mean your good. like the idea of squads playing each other but if your missing 1 or 2 persons on your team sorry randoms are the only option to fill the spots
But ok good ideas going the right way just needs some tweaks |

A good way to separate battles would be by sum of meta levels in fittings. For example a total PRO fitting have a greater sum of meta level than a total STD fitting. Passive skills will always be an advantage but if you want to play a certain battle you have to use a cheaper fitting. Before you enter you know the level. Everybody can enter but once you are in, fitting that pass the limit are disabled. Example: 3 types, from 0 to 12 (STD), from 13 to 29 (ADV), no restriction. (random numbers) |

New game mode called 'casual,' where squads are either disabled or at least no squads can join a game but then players will be free to squad up with each other. |

+1 Some sort of match making needs to be implemented. If not by allocated sp than by some other means. 9 of 10 matches are very much one sided blow outs. |

I just want to play with randoms sometimes instead of having to squad up to be competitive.
I don't mind if I'm thrown in a match to help fill the rest of the team if I'm also playing with multiple squads, but not being thrown into a match where only one team has a full squad. |

As far as I'm aware MOBA games have this "single draft queue" where people can enter if they want to be matched up with randoms and different queues for people who want to join as a group. I don't know why CCP didn't copy this model. |

If we could build teams to send into battle for a pub match vs another team prebuilt before battle, with higher payouts, we could almost emliminate the pubstomping you refer to. Sometimes I just want to fight with a team that works well together rather getting stuck with some random blueberrys that are low sp or another squad or two who are just as good as my squad against a team of random players that don't uses squads at all or are not interested in fighting and would rather camp in the MCC.
When regular corp battles were available this was a fun way to blow off steam and practice with corp mates. Now there is a significant investment by both corps to participate in PC and as fun as it is there is no oportunity to pratice a tactic other than squad based tactics, team based tactics practice isn't possible.
Please bring back corp battles. |

I'm going to have to disagree on both ideas.
This game is a FPS focused on team & squad tatics. Even when going lone wolf, you are still expected to do stuff to help the team win. Creating a team vs. team game mode that discourages teamwork is self-defeating. However, there is a need for game modes for when you want to play on your own. To fill that need I think we need some all vs all game modes as well as some PvE game modes.
As for how to match players, I feel SP is a bad choice as you would essentially be building various stages where the gameplay at each stage may not be the same as the game play in the previous one. This would mean players might end up having to relearn how to play the game everytime they "rank up".
For matching I find the best solution to be:
Matching Conditions: Gear based with the categories being
- Milita and Standard
- Advanced and below
- Proto and below
Reasoning - Would allow players to play against others with similar gear capabilities while not separating new players from the main crowd. This means new players could experience how Dust should be played.
Rewards: Same ISK reward across all categories (or at least only a small increase) Increasing SP rewards
Reasoning - This would create a natural progression to the higher tiered battles as players would seek to maximize SP gain. However the static ISK reward amount would create a player flow between each mode. To maximize your SP gain, you need to play on the proto tier but (if the ISK reward is balanced correctly) you cannot sustain your play on that tier as the costs of using Proto would exceed your ISK reward (unless you go -/0 of course). So when you run out of ISK, you will need to drop to a lower tier to build back your ISK pool so that you can return to the proto tier.
This is of course only for the instant battles.
Edit: So in effect the different tiers would have the following effect:
- Milita and Standard - Great for ISK build up but poor SP gain
- Advanced and below - Good net ISK and SP gain
- Proto and below - Poor net ISK but great SP gain
