OK, Uprising is not perfect.
This is not news. The rant threads have been endless and a lot are justified due to the initial nerfs on weapons, and changes that no one was prepared for. And I've participated in a number of those threads, especially on what CCP did to the Mass Driver among other things.
But after stepping back for a day, and then taking the time to look at Uprising for what it is, I have to say that CCP have done a great job.
A great job at polishing a truly rough diamond. The graphics are sublime. The customization is engaging. The skill system, while very expensive in SP and requiring a few tweaks, is a far more accessible tree than the previous "list" we had to guess from. The new suits are just awesome looking in design and fashion. The battlefields are far more varied than ever before. The player, vehicle, explosion and movement animations look fantastic. And while the balancing still needs another look at the drawing board, it ALWAYS WILL because you can't please EVERYONE. I for one am grateful that what we post on here and the feedback we give gets truly looked at and considered.
So thank you CCP for bringing us an even better FREE product (although you would be rolling in it after my previous AUR purchases  ). We won't stop the ranting in pursuit of that ever perfect game, but you can be sure of the fact that as long as you keep striving for that too, we will be sticking around for a long time to come. |

I agree with your post, and like what I see in Uprising. I decided to change class completely from previous build to Uprising and have started from scratch, this has saved me the problems many others have experienced staying with their old class and expecting it to play exactly as before.
Uprising to me feels almost like a completely new game and I look forward to see the added game modes, maps, weapons and PC 14 of May.

I have to say - my new Gallente assault suit is a work of art - haven't had time to use it properly yet though.
CCP have also done very well with Eve connection, the star map is a think of beauty, and PC hasn't even landed yet.
Balancing issues will be fixed and we'll all be in Dust nirvana. |

I've said it in a few places, but yes, there are some good things coming with the new build.
I hope that enough of the problems can be resolved before the 14th, and if not, I hope CCP are willing to delay the release, because right now, it doesn't feel like we're ready for release.
If they CAN prove me wrong, though, that would be great.
