ive had problems like this b4 with DC universe.. i called sony to pin point the problem 1st time i had to reformat through a safe start, 2nd time i just had to safe start ps3 with no re format... 1 800 345 7669 sony cs... also not many ppl know this but ps3s have a internal blow out funtion to clean the inside from dust wich causes excess heat to build up and causing problems... turn off ps3 switch in rear (unplug slims) hold eject button while turning swith on (plug back in)... you fan wi run at a high speed (louder than usual) for 10 seconds blowing the dust n debris from the internals.. now that wont fix anything but its a great preventative procedure.. |

Good tips but I want to hear from someone who has had this problem with Dust and has fixed it. Everything else on my PS3 works great. It's just Dust wont client update. |

First gen PS3. Mine crashes on the new update client as well. Like right after the Dust 514 logo.
I've deleted, and reinstalled the game, then I rebuild database. All unsuccessful.
Playing from north america, wired connection, high speed cable internet. |

I had the same problem. When the client would start up my ps3 would shut down. Thanks to Black Eagle495 I changed the resolution. I set the display properties to 480p and it worked to update... updating now. I hope I can change the display properties back to 1080p after the update but we will see. 1st gen ps3 no wifi |
