I much like Uprising, great improvement on all of the UI stuff of course and how everything looks.
Weapon range nerf is comparatively amazing. Weapons now fit their designated range roles instead of an AR hitting EVERY range . Pub matches are much more balanced from what i have seen. 1 Weapon does not hit EVERY range, EVERY situation, and kill EVERY one, at least for now. Everyone is complaining that all the weapons suck, which means that they are fairly balanced now.
Another thing that is happening is that a bunch of people are coming back to play first day of build, they are not great at the game, and stop playing and come rage on forums after not playing for months. The people who like the game are not going to go to forums they will play the game. so just like online game reviews from players, initially it will come in negative, and will move to more positive as we will all inevitably see.
However one big thing that i DO not like is having the charge on forge guns around the ammo instead of the aiming ring. If its around the ring your staring at the charge ring and aiming at the same time. If its around the ammo to check or keep track of the charge you have to take your eye off the reticule. That really hurts possible aiming, specially with assault forges. |

what do you mean by balanced? every match I've seen has literally been 1 mob vs the other... meet at a designated spot and whomever wins the initial free4all stays there and spawn camps the rest of the match
that or the skirmish redline 4 minutes in with snipers.. only now the snipers cant even kill you so its even more boring
dont tryin to be a d!ck, just trying to understand your point of view.
im on 1 side of the road and an AR is on the other side... I shoot at him.. no damage gotta get closer... he now notices me... shoots at me... does damage, but not enough to really affect me...
this dance continues until the AR gets in better range and can do good damage on me. I shoot at him.. still nothing.. so I just throw a nade at him.
BOOM I win. now if AR brings a posse... then I lose
the game has become instantly predictable at all times and to me thats just not fun |

Welcome to CCP's new build. They are pandering to the have not and no skill players that couldn't hack it. Thier fix? ...Let nerf range and push everyone with in a rocks throw distance so that every can get atleast an assist and a warm fuzzy feeling of accomplishment. And while we are at it lets double strafe speed so once you are close the only thing that is effective is grenades. And tha cherry they set on this steamy build is the completely wreck aiming mechanics. My advice is to take a few weeks off or enjo an alt. |

My advice is to take a few weeks off or enjo an alt.[/quote] You do realize that they're going to be implementing range-based damage falloff like in EVE, right? CCP has mentioned that in IRC. Your AR will be able to hit beyond its max range, for example, but the damage will be lower the further out you go. |
