Well... here's one reason:
Sprint Strafing.
A new addition in uprising, this allows people doing "the weave" to now do it at a higher level (i.e. faster), making them harder and harder to track the closer they get.
In Chromosome, you couldn't sprint and move laterally... now you can. You are now harder to hit, and it is harder to hit people.
So.... before everyone QQ's about "not being able to hit" people... keep in mind that if you learn the weave, you'll be just as hard to hit.
Happy shooting! |

I feel like every bullet i put on target hits, where as the last build I was certain half my bullets went into the aether.
I think that's why heavies go down faster. Before- they'd open up on you, the game would begin to lag, and bullets would fly out but never hit anything (disappear). My gun would begin to jitter as well as the noise of the bullets.

Aiming with fully auto weapons seems tougher. Aiming with single shot weapons (scrambler pistol, tact rifle) seems about the same, if not better.
Also, try to tap the fire button instead of holding it down, the kick is a LOT less intense that way and you dont sacrifice much ROF. Makes it way easier to track a moving target. "bursting" fire with the ARs or "kneeling" before held firing is needed witht he automatics (hell kneeling is even needed to keep the tact steady with rapid firing). |

Nightbird is partially right, as it's a lot harder to kill a scout who can move faster then everyone else. However, the tracking and handling of the weapons is completely off. Hopefully CCP fixes this or someone finds out what sensitivity is the best (I read turning auto-aim off helps so I guess I'll try that when I log on later today). |

It's not as simple as strafe sprinting. Every 1 v 1 or even 1 v 2 encounter I get into now begins with shooting while jumping around, and ends with all parties involved running away, at nearly full health, to reload.
It's pretty ******* silly. |

I have no problem nailing sprinting targets its the Close Quarter physics especially while strafing that is pissing everyone off... |

That's a good point, I did see that a lot yesterday. Thus far the most successful tactics I've see used were blob attacks with at least 4 mercs or solid flanking maneuvers with two squads. If this is going to continue, maybe we will actually see squad tactics used, as this is a team game not a 1v1 tourney (yes 1v1 is still viable, and still a fun but to win the match it will take a full squad to do so. Also, now no one can complain their blueberries lost the match for them as a six man squad is big enough to turn a match). |

Because you used all the exploits in the previous build you never learned to aim. Now that you can't "strafe" over someone and instantly kill them with a laser rifle, or two shot someone with 4 damage mods and a duvolle, you actually have to have skill. Those of us who never used these cheap tricks have been tempered and have learned to play the game. Sorry you're a little behind.
Oh, by the way, I heard there was a new game out, it's called DUST 514 and it doesn't cater to your kind. |

Squad is usually the way to go, but in an Ambush it definitely works out where you get stranded here and there.
Though, now I'm just picturing a 6 v 6 where everyone is jumping around shooting, missing, then running to reload and it's a pretty funny thought.

Haha, two things I know for a fact Bravo never did.
You taught that strawman a lesson with that blow to his ego though. |

The range nerf alone should encourage squad play not "hey my aim is going to have a mind of its own so maybe if 4 of us go in at once we can kill 2 guys" a skilled shooter should be able to drop 2 - 3 people by out thinking them.. We shouldn't have to spend 30seconds strafing in a circle to find ourselves at half health and no ammo.... |

Replication, now that had some serious 1v1 dance offs. |
