FOLKS. The revival system has changed fairly drastically for the person on the ground, bleeding out, in Uprising. This short guide will aim to instruct you as to how you should think and act once shot down, to ultimately make a decision that will benefit your team and all nearby triage units.
But firstly, I will explain how death is different in Uprising.
Chromosome: When you were killed, your merc fell over and your gaze is locked horizontally, and you're given a prompt with two options. Either you bleed out and respawn, or call for assistance. Now, despite some nice red effects around your screen as you bleed out and a pretty fade out to black when you do, you can't do much to assist your team. There's the "Standby... Triage Unit in vicinity" message, but that's not very informative.
Uprising: When you are killed, detailed statistics of the person who killed you show up on the screen. (We should get an option to make that optional) Yeah yeah, whatever. What you should look out for here is the triage message, signifying there are medics nearby, which now shows their distance from you in meters. Forget about that for now. IF YOU SEE IT, hit X/Left Click and skip to the overview map/spawning screen ASAP!
If you're still available to be revived, the cursor will be centered on your downed body, and if the map isn't too chaotic you should be able to see the skull and crossbones surrounded by a circle timer which shows how long you have before you bleed out. When your cursor has your body selected instead of a spawn point, X/Left Click will allow you to CALL FOR HELP, instead of select a spawn point.
Calling for help puts up an indicator on all nearby medics' screens, allowing them to pinpoint your location and get you up.
__
A tip for those looking for revives now they know how to call for assistance:
1. KNOW the circumstances of your death!
If you die in the open covered by enemies and enemy snipers, DON'T ASK FOR A REVIVE.
If you die by a headshot or explosives, DON'T go into panic mode because you can't select your dead body to call for help. Your body is probably headless/splattered everywhere in a horrid mess. Seriously; certain causes of death prevents revival.
And if you are on comms with nearby medics, please give them accurate information. It helps, truly.

Nice post Vyzion, I kind of dislike it when you can't identify the dead bodies so easy as the last build. |

Somewhere in the patch notes i read there was a way to use the Nanite Injector without selecting it in the radial menu.
Anyone knows how that is? |

You should be able to tap "circle" when standing above a downed ally.
I've also noted that reviving seems to be more trickier again with positioning, and alot of times you're not able to pick em up at all...

Earlier today I kept reviving someone who was getting sniped over and over again. Fun times... While I was doing this, I noticed his 'Revival Indicator' was in the clouds. I'm pretty sure this was because he was at the respawn map, making it hard to notice if he was really DEAD or not. So yea, that's the first bug I noticed. :) |

For downed players it's now really hard to avoid a suicide-revive. If a logi wants to he can feed hundreds of warpoints to an enemy sniper and the downed player has practically no means of defense. |

If I was the bouncing corps, after the third death I would be hitting the respawn before the logi had a chance to stick me again. |

Great tips, thanks.
I'm still a new logi player, but in Chromosome I found that some people still wouldn't wait to be revived, as if they were in a hurry to get back into the action even though there's still a timer till they can spawn again. Hopefully they were just really green.
If your scan shows there aren't many enemy players milling around and your screen says there's a triage unit nearby, then wait! Especially in Ambush. |
