I have been discussing this and it seems to be well-recieved by more than a few people.
Revert weapons to chromosome statistics to include range and damage, all of them. take the base ranges, and simply add 20% to the base range as a flat, permanent increase to the weapons.
the following are simple things i think might mitigate other crap.
reduce viziam damage to +1 over standard/advanced
retain the Tac, Burst and breach AR buffs to damage from uprising. They were underpowered in chromosome, and Uprising did improve them.
Increase HMG damage by 2 points to compensate for the loss of two high slots and the bonus from weaponry. Damage on HMGs has always been lackluster against anything past 20 meters and moving at any speed.
Increase base forge gun damage to compensate for the loss of two high slots and weaponry bonus OR increase the magazine to 6, and increase base carried ammunition. The gunnlogis and madrugars were not nerfed, so the tank defenses will start treating proto forges like militia swarms.
And because I haven't said anything positive, and goddammit i don't want to be a complete asshat:
LAVs: this change is 10/10 Graphics: We thought you were going to leave them crappy till PS4. thanks for not doing that. The new dropsuits: hell... YES! Fatty HP buff: a small boost goes a long way.

the heavy is so bad atm amarr are armor tanking suits so weres my 5th low slot? and plates need more hp benifits on a heavy!

We just took a big step away from CoD 514 with everyone being able to snipe across the map, pew pewing with their overly damaging weapons and you want to go back to it? Really? Assaults have to work for their kills, heavies are still able to do what they do, snipers have to come down from the mountains, scouts have to actually get in range and logistics... well, they need a bit of an equipment rework. Don't go into uprising thinking that you could pull the same old **** you did a couple of days ago. Everyone has to make adjustments (for the better in most cases) to they're playstyle. Why can't you?
