Before you all judge read it
The sp cap should be either a high amout or completely remove for people under a certain number of lifetime sp. Think bout it with the sp cap only being a couple 100k a week wont allow new players or players under 10mil sp to compete with everybody with the 20mil sp n that are running around with proto gear. With PC around the corner the new players wont stand a chance. With what im suggesting helps all people new nd older the cap should be like this under 2mil sp no cap 2-5 mil sp 800k cap or so 5-6milsp 650k cap,and so on but the cap should either non existing or really high for new players and adjusted as by your lifetime sp so everyone especially new players can keep up. FEEL FREE TO ADD ANYTHING OR GIVE YOUR THOUGHTS ON THE MATTER AND IDEAS ON THE CAP FOR CERTAIN LIFETIME HOLDERS
AND IM NOT A NEW PLAYER BUT IM ALSO NOT A SEASONED VET |

the vets would gain more sp then any new player, changing it will just further the gap not lessen it.

i see i didnt explain good enough the sp cap should be removed for NEWS PLAYERS or set differently depending on your already earned sp ex. if u have under 2 million sp your cap should either be an infinite amount or really high until you each 5 million the the cap gets lower if someone has 20 million sp there cap wont be the same as someone that has 2 million or 5 million this way new players could catch up faster and stay competitive and not get completely destroyed . You understand now |

if you put it like this it mite be easier under 2mil sp the cap is 1mil a week 2-5mil sp the cap is 900k a week 5-7mil sp the cap is 750k a week 7-10mil sp the cap is 550k a week 10-15mil sp the cap is 400k a week 15-20mil sp the cap 250k a week and so on and those arent the real numbers they are just examples |

Sorry DESTROYER416 but life in New Eden is not fair. It never has been and it never will be. If you want to roll with the big boys you are going to have to actually work at it since there is no way you are ever going to catch them sp wise. I would suggest finding a corp and learning to work extremely well with a team.
This is the same strategy that CCP has used in EVE for years and I encourage them to apply it to DUST514 as well (which they have as you note) since it encourages team play and organization. Sure you can't take down the all proto player on your own. He's worked hard to get all that gear and the skills to use it. No you shouldn't be able to use all that gear in a matter of days. It took other players months of work to get to the point where they could use it well. What you can do though is get together with your buddies and say, "hey, there is a guy in proto gear over there. lets all shoot him together and cost him a ton of isk."
Team work, even new player team work, can easily crush any single player.
As for groups of high sp folks, well you might be in trouble there. Your best bet is probably to join a large corp so you can run with some highly skilled folks yourself.
Stop complaining. Make a plan. Work together. Have fun. |

i have a corp and i work well with them im trying to make it worth while for the new comers. you cant tell me if you just started out you wanted to have alittle but of a edge and be able to catch up to a point. if you just started out and wasnt contestly getting killed by proto gear you wouldnt quit. bull i know why your turning this down cuz your 1 of the people that have atleast 10 mil sp or about that, you proably been playing since closed beta. plus 500k to strt with is alot yea it will get you basic stuff but basic is a waste if you getting killed by proto gear. and the cap is bull its under 200k without boosters but then under you have all this sp to spent, but watever dude all i was trying to do was help the new comers stay but i guess you dont want that |

i have proto gear and im not complaining if you want complaining i will complain bout how a guy with milita gear can take out a heavy with full health by himself without sidestepping or how a heavy can no longer take on a single basic geared person when the heavy has complex damage mods and 1200+ health thats wat i would complain bout i bet your a ar guy rite |

Just so you know I don't have 10 mil. sp, or even really anything near that. Yes I have been playing for quite a while though, since E3, and I have at times been either ahead or quite a bit behind sp wise. This is not really an issue and all of these facts about my characters and me as a player are beside the point.
There are always going to people better than you. This is part of CCP's mantra with EVE and DUST. Yes, this will be a turn off for some new players. That is fine. This game is not made for everyone. If CCP wanted this game to be an everyman's game they would have produced a clone of COD. They didn't. CCP is producing an extremely complex layered game which takes years to become fully skilled in, and allows for competion at many different levels.
What you are going to see is a shift from great players with lots of experience constantly murdering new players in pub matches to those same players concentrating their efforts on planetary conquest, where the rewards are greater as are the risks.
There will be some players in better gear who play pub matches but this number will dwindle as the rewards for killing new players in militia gear shrink.
Now if those same new players want to compete with more experienced players they have some options as I stated before. They can work hard and specialize, choosing to do one thing really well so that they can compete with older players in a few weeks to a month, and/or they can join a major corp (not a small one, they don't have the resources needed) where they can squad up with high sp players to get their support. As I stated in my previous post new players in packs can be effective too. I couldn't tell you the number of times I had my 700+hp assault suit killed by a militia assault rifle just because there were 4 or 5 of them shooting at me. A group of low sp players can dominate high sp players.
I will give you the fact that the starting sp is low. That is intentional though. Like I said this game is one that is intended to take years to skill into. New players should have to grind through those low levels just like the rest of us did.
As far as your accusation that I don't want new comers to stay in the game you will find that is as far from the truth as possible. I spend quite a bit of my time talking with new folks in my corp helping them select skills that will make them competitive and training them on the battle field. Its fine that you are defensive when your idea is shot down but please don't turn this into a personal attack. This is not about you or I but about how the game universe is set up and the underlying philosophy behind it.
If you think DUST is cutthroat and cruel to new players give EVE a spin. By comparison DUST is generous. |

Wow you really are defensive. Please just take some time and think about this all in the context of the larger game.
Also remember, this is still a work in progress. I hear your heavy issues (pun intended) and am sympathetic. Infact I just posted as much on another thread. |

im not say a group of them arent effective and for the fact that the game isnt intending for one type of person is complete bull the ar and assault are still on top the game isnt balanced and it comes out next week wat they did to the heavy suits are fine but the hmg and the range is stuipd its to the point where 1 person in milita gear with less then have health can kill a full health heavy in cqc where the heavy is suppose to be better the heavy should be able to kill multiple people in cqc now barely one with half health but im wrong for thinking the heavies should be slow moving heavily armor people that should be fear not made fun of. dont get my wrong i love being a heavy and having a mini gun but it pointless to have if you cant kill with the damn thing. and ever if u put a ar on it it still loses the heavies got no love this build but assault got love and more suit |

I think your straying away from the topic and hand here DESTROYER416. How does any of that have to do with the imbalances you identified in the current sp system? Are you changing the topic because you are conceding the point to me and agreeing that an unfair system is fine? |
