It is getting rather hard to read anything constructive on the forums. People don't realize that, when it comes to CCP games, it is always a work in progress. EVE and New Eden didn't burst fully fledged and ready to go. It took many years to become the game it is. Constant development and tweaks came and made it a thriving game going on 10 years now. I suspect DUST will be the same way.
Rather than posting here about "nerfs" and "Assault514", we as a community should post constructive posts which can address whatever problems we are having with said mechanics. CCP made the balances they did in response to some real issues which I, as a regular player who logs every day, saw being abused. For example, Sharpshooter allowed Assault Rifles to function like snipers, HMGs to peg people at a ridiculous range, and allowed laser rifles to be able to sweep the field with critical damage in a very small time.
There are more, but simply posting one way or the other as if your one mechanic makes or breaks the game is simply short sided. Most of the time its someone spec'd as scissors when someone throws rock. If I see someone breaking out their shield tank, I am going to keep throwing flux's and going for the kill. Should my rock be nerfed simply because it is an effective counter to a suit, tactic, vehicle? I also see that when someone throws rock and fails consistently to an effective counter, they almost expect their build to be the rock, paper, and scissors and if it is not, they will spam the forums incessantly with negative criticism that offers no real change which could possibly add the balance.
I, like many others of the more mature and observant crowd, will keep up on the skills, the stats, and builds, and learn the counters to whatever is going to be fielded. Play with your squad, learn your roles, and be prepared. CCP won't and shouldn't make it easy for every single individual to be 'god'.

I just get tired of hearing the bitching, the complaining in the forums from people who lose their vehicles, suits, etc. It won't be the same as the BETA, and it is certainly not done. Lets list our things rationally and we will get a better response from CCP. Everyone wants a quality game, this is true. Have patience. |

Polish Hammer wrote:What you've walked into is the standard operating procedure with updates in this game.
The game changes and those who are upset (and evidently can't type properly) whine, cry, and threaten to leave the game.
CCP responds with hot fixes to issues that seem to be bitched about the most.
The trolls continue to troll, some people are satisfied about the changes, most aren't and say "cya next build scrubs."
Next build comes, repeat.
Its pretty damn pathetic that people do this. Its head-shaking. George Carlin had a beautiful quote for people like that... |

Threatening not to buy Aurum when he doesn't buy it already? Fail. |

Indeed, but it is so hard to sit quietly and not slap down folks who post on the forums as if they have never played the game.
As for the first impressions of the game, I enjoyed it. The depth is there, the meta will be there, and it has helped me keep playing even through some of the glitches within the game. It will continue to be shined as CCP refines this game, and I will be here to observe the growth and give my feedback. |

There is a difference between bitching and providing positive feedback. Positive criticism will receive a better response near every time. |
