Because CCP is lazy, aka they decided that it wasn't worth the time to polish.

Because some people didn't pay for those, they got them in closed beta event. I think it will be a *beep* to get that sorted out. |

Wouldn't it make these BPOs the most advanced BPOs in the game though? |

They're still Standard level, but they'll be equivalent to those Amarr BPOs coming with the collector's edition. The issue isn't the quality of the suits, it's that they weren't necessarily event rewards - they're buyable on market now, and that the upfront skill investment ballooned. Raven and Sever cost a pittance of SP to use pre-uprising; one rank in assault and one rank in logi. The upfront to use both now would be 3.8 million SP and change, and it presupposes you want to spec into both Minmatar medium, Caldari Medium, and Min Logi/Cal Ass.
A current Raven suit is the same stat-wise as a Basic Caldari standard Medium Frame. It's not better than a proto medium frame, the only difference is that it would benefit from the assault racial passives, if you happened to have them. |

I for one am pretty glad I still have them, Beta event item and all... . I would be kinda 'not happy' if they had removed those. Even though I'm going logi, it won't be of much help in the beginning (Sever = Minmatar = -5% hacking speed = not the best bonus imo) I ran for weeks and weeks with my Sever. Pretty good suit imo. Just too bad it'll cost quite some SP this build. But for those going Minmatar it is a pretty sweet suit. |

This one might be complicated...
You see, these were sold to many players in exchange for AUR, and that's how many people got them.
HOWEVER, I and several other people got them as a free add-on to the Mercenary pack before that, and they were sold to us as a permanent addition to our account. As such, it may actually count as a breach of contract for them to remove or nerf these suits, which would explain why they would leave them in and just ratchet up the SP cost for them.
Personally, I'm just glad their still in the game, I love my Sever suit (and these raven, sever, and valor suits were also a shout-out to the MAG players, as those are the names and colors of the three factions in that game :D)
Also, mine hasn't finished downloading yet, but how is the "dragonfly" dropsuit doing? |

I just hope they make some versions for all races. I don't mind that its the lowest tier at all, I've been running the Raven almost exclusively in pub matches since I got them as a Merc Pack add on. |

If you received the aur for those items you could just rebuy them right away and you still have gotten your free ones and the rest of us who paid for items that are no longer useable to us are not screwed over. Everyone wins. |

Dragonfly remains no-req. You can use it with no points in anything. |

The militia suit BPOs were refunded, then they raised the price. So I am down 4 suits but can only afford to buy 2 of them with the AUR previously spent. All for a PAINT JOB since I already have skinweaves... |

I agree that I wouldn't want people's event items revoked. I don't want them to nerf the suits or rework the skill tree either. I'm basically fine with the investment required for Logis, and whatever. If you got the suits free, I can't imagine you're too broken up that you can't use them.
I think they should be able to check transaction records and just refund the people that actually paid for the suits. I'd just like the spirit/intent of reimbursing for the people that paid for the suits to be honored. |

Wait a second. So you are telling me that my BPO suits that I bought with real money because of next to no skill requirements are now worthless unless I put over a million skill points into them? And CCP expects people not to ***** about this because why? See this is what happens when you ******* scrubs allow CCP to screw over one section of the community. THey go ahead and keep on moving down the line because noone is bitching about it. I will be requesting a refund from sony if this isn't sorted to put my BPO back to where I can use it sans skills. Because a BPO that requires a million more SP to use is not an equivalent trade. |

Complaining to Sony would be like complaining to Walmart about Pepsi using Nutrasweet in their soda. |

First I will give CCP a chance to either refund me the AUR or fix their suits so that they are an actual equivalent item. I will give them one week to do so. If they don't then you file a petition with sony about it and if they sit on their hands you simply do a charge back through your bank. I have taken it to microsoft once before and the bank ruled in my favor for just such a circumstance.
